Highlands Quarterback and UK commit Patrick Towles received another honor today. He was an honorable mention for Sports Illustrated’s All-American team. Towles was recently named Mr. Football Kentucky and is making Coach Joker Phillips’ recruiting class look better by the day. Other local players named to the team were wide receiver James Quick and running back Dalyn Dawkins both from Louisville’s Trinty High School.

Towles has done work his senior season throwing for 3,820 yards and 42 touchdowns and running for 589 yards and 15 TDs. He had a 61.3% completion percentage (171 of 279) and only threw one pick on the season.

Congrats Pat.

The question is, who will his coach be in two years (after redshirting) and will that offense be a good fit. Hopefully we’ll have more of an open attack by then. Joker will not survive next season, the schedule is just too tough.

Towles has a goofy throwing motion and can’t get a super tight spiral from
What I’ve seen! Don’t get me wrong he’s great especially for a school like “who-cares-about-football-Kentucky”

#8 i dunno when you watched him, but PT has no problem throwing a tight spiral, whether it be on short throws, like a slant or out, or on medium throws like a dig or deep out, or on the deep throws like a fade or post route. What constitutes a “super tight spiral”? Is there any QB that can throw a super tight spiral? I can name more than one NFL Qb who cannot throw your super tight sprial, Phillip Rivers comes to mind immediately. Kind of a short sighted opinion, dont you think? Maybe a little explanation…..

I think i’d like to see this guy redshirt and let Maxwell Smith have the reigns next year.

#9- Agreed. I probably should of said something like he may lack the throwing consistency needed to be a starter

My nephew is friends with 2 players and a team manager on the basketball team. They are saying the Jones injury is worse than the uk folks are letting on. They expect him to miss 2 to 3 weeks.

No way Jones misses 2-3 weeks with a dislocated pinky. They will put a splint on it, tape it to his ring finger and he’ll miss a couple of games at most. He could play tomorrow night if we want him to.

Looks like the Tardinal Trolls are out in full force tonight. If I were them I would less concerned with UK Football and more concerned about what kind of sh*t Clintt Hurtt has gotten them into with his shady recruiting at Loserville.

Is it just me or does he appear a little skinny? Unless that is a terrible picture but from the looks of that picture, his arms seem very tiny. No way he is 235 like the staff claims.
