Papa Harrison denies Cats Illustrated report

Aaron Harrison Sr., the father of high school basketball’s package deal, has denied the report from CatsIllustrated.com that the twins have decided and picked UK.

“This report is not true,” he told the Kentucky Kernel.

Anyone surprised?

Does Papa Harrison have a job? Because it seems like all he does is deny reports about his two boys.

Doesn’t look great. Why would he deny a random source and spoil his boys’ big day?
I’d love to have the kids, but Papa Harrison can stay in Houston. He seems like trouble.
Hopefully he’s denying it in hopes they’ll change their minds or to just keep the suspense.

As in all recruiting battles you win some and lose some. If these kids pick Maryland it would not surprise me because that is what Sr. wants so badly. If the kids want to be “one and done’s” and get drafted high the choice should be obvious to them!

Why does this dude feel the need to comment on EVERYTHING?? Every time we hear this guy open his piehole, it makes him sound like more and more like the sports version of an overbearing “stage mom”. Kinda makes you wonder what he would’ve or wouldn’t have said if it was a report that his kids had picked the Terps?? I’ll gladly take the twins…just as long as they leave their dad at home.

I think the Dad is just trying to protect his kids, and by denying all of these fake reports, its gonna put the spotlight on his kids this afternoon when the decision is announced. He is very involved, but think about how many recruits havent had a father figure at all. Nothing wrong with a parent protecting his kids even if he might want them to go to another school. Dont attack the dad, be happy a dad has took the time and invested in his children. Regardless i think the twins still pick UK.

I’m sure he just doesn’t want people to take away from the moment, doesn’t want to ruin the surprise. But at the same time, that doesn’t mean they are picking UK in the first place. And for anyone who’s worried about their dad being too controlling and saying they don’t want him associated with the program or some BS like that… You’re overreacting, he’s doing what he’s supposed to do

The family is just having a blast with this. I don’t blame them. This will only happen once in their entire lives and the dad is doing everything he can to make their announcement a surprise. He told the Kernel the kids “are waffling back and forth.” Yeah right. You don’t waffle on the last day on a decison as big as this. Their dad is just helping the kids keep it somewhat of a secret. I don’t have any problem with their dad, especially if they decide on Kentucky. It would show that he is not as controlling as we seem to think and it would also just show that he really loves his boys and has a keen interest in helping them make a decision. Can’t wait ’til 5 p.m.!

Keep in mind that papa ain’t writing these stories. He’s answering his phone and keeping the recruitment open. What else could he do? Steal his kids’ thunder? Make the announcement to some dweeb out of the blue?

Just because someone calls the dad, asks him if “it’s true” and he says, “No” doesn’t make him a bad dude. Doesn’t mean that he WANTS all the questions. But, remember, this is a VERY important recruitment. Lots of people are actively asking him about it. And then they need to write something with the Harrison name in the story. And they want to get people talking about it.

    There ya go. They succeeded.

Don’t blame the dad or the boys for it.

    60. You people don’t get it. Giving tax breaks to the wealthy means giving tax breaks to small business owners as well so they can invest in their businesses and HIRE people. It’s not about giving tax breaks to the wealthy just so they can be more wealthy.

Obama’s policies have crippled growth in this country. Very few people have been hired. Energy, gas and food prices continue to stay high and it’s all Obama’s fault. He’s a liar and a fraud. He’s spent more money than all other presidents combined. He wants to take money from successful people that have worked hard for their money and give it to lazy people that don’t want to work. Obama’s plan is to redistribute America’s wealth to other nations when we already give billions and billions of tax dollars in aid to other countries not to mention all the charitable contributions that American citizens already make. When he’s done taking the wealthy’s money, he’ll come after the middle class. Then we can all live like third world nations while Obama goes on a campaign of apology for America being successful. He has no intentions of balancing the budget. He just wants to spend America into a debt it will never be able to repay. Then his plan will be complete. This is a man that has domestic terrorists on his staff and feels that Islam is a religion of peace. What a spineless, anti-American, POS Obama is. Neither may have a great idea for health care but Romney is a far better alternative than Obama’s socialistic regime that wants to turn American into an ATM for the rest of the world.
