P.J. Hairston Linked to 2nd Rental Car

hairston

TMZ should consider opening an office in Chapel Hill. The news just keeps coming.

Corey Nichols wrote yesterday about the unfolding saga in Chapel Hill– P.J. Hairston is reportedly “involved” with a convicted felon with ties to the UNC faculty. The man’s name is Haydn “Fats” Thomas and he rented a car for Hairston that later was involved in some legal troubles. Clearly, Hairston has poor judgement, such as associating with people named Fats. The guns and weapons charges don’t help his case either.

Things are looking even worse than they were yesterday for the Tar Heel guard, as this morning Hairston has been linked to a second rental car, for which he did not pay, also associated with Haydn “Fats” Thomas character.

Dang….the NCAA will try to pin this on Cal for sure.

This should be big trouble for UNC.

I’ve found this story fascinating over the last week. It seems all of this has been uncovered by posters on Pack Pride, a N.C. State message board, and a UK fan who posts on another site. Those folks have been sending what they have found to national and local media and it seems, once confirmed, the media is starting to run with it. What’s more interesting is all the other connections the message board folks have uncovered. This “Fats” guy is tied into several businesses, some of which share addresses with UNC-connected folks, and ties to a UNC dental school fundraising group, formerly headed by Psycho-T’s Mom. The message board posters allude to more dirt coming out later this week. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg and this “Fats” guy only digs the hole deeper every time he speaks.

If the academic fraud didn’t get the NCAA’s attention, a rental car issue sure won’t interest them.

I guess the NCAA will have to give UNC two slaps on the wrist and give PJ Harriston a stern lecture before they let him play this year.

In order for the NCAA to investigate a player for wrong doing, one of the following criteria must be made:

    1. A player must clearly be in violation of the NCAA rules. * Note. The exception to this rule is any player that is a member of any North Carolina college.

    2. Any player that attends college at the University of Kentucky is subject to investigation of rules violation at anytime.

We at the NCAA hope you have a happy Carolina..er..college day!

If this was UK and they had academic fraud and players driving around flashy rental cars they would get the death penalty 2 months ago. But its UNC and Hairston will be ineligible for 5 games this season. Haydn “Fats” Thomas probably gets a promotion and will get a job working for the NCAA.

We at the NCAA would also like to remind UK players, fans, students, supporters, alumni, etc.., that we have a State of Basketball fundraiser every year! Anyone wanting to contribute to the fund can send the money to: NCAA rules commitee/NCAA Tournament Committee in care of Duke or North Carolina University. Do not delay! These poor Carolina schools need your help donating to their cause!

    Sincerely,

    NCAA (North Carolina Athletics Association)

For those of you who don’t like what we’re doing here at the North Carolina Athletics Association, you should write our president Mr. Emert! But, I must warn you that he’s a cagy fella and very rich! Why, just the other day, he was telling me about how UNC and Duke was financing his new home and yacht in Jamaica! Man, I’d like those Carolina colleges too if they paid me THAT much money!

We here at the NCAA (North Carolina Athletics Association)have had a lot of inquiries about young Mr. Hairston. This must stop immediately! He was only doing what young kids do and getting paid to do it! As for Mr. Thomas’ involvement, he is a paid employee and booster for the NCAA and was only looking out for the young player’s interests. So, as you can all see, there is nothing to see here or investigate. Now, if anyone has any information on this year’s incoming freshman class of UK players, please feel free to write and we’ll look into any and all alegations right away!

The Raleigh News & Record is now reporting that Hairston may have to transfer to Duke to escape any NCAA sanctions for getting free rides. This is worse than what Ohio State got popped for (kids trading shirts for tats).

For everybody’s information, Bottom Line, Pete Thamel, Bobby Knight, and Digger Phelps all work for us (NCAA) on various occasions when we need to deflect suspicions of wrongdoing in Carolina. And for the record number 17, those classes were all appropriate for our Carolina kids!

Does anyone here know a kindergarden teacher that would like to teach new college athletes? No experience, teaching skills, teaching certificates or college degrees are required. Oh and by the way, does anyone here know where I can rent a car and buy a gun and bag of weed for one of our new athletes down in Carolina? It seems our last guy was spooked off by the media!

    Sincerely,

    NCAA (North Carolina Athletics Association)

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire! UNC=No NCAA Violations, unfortunately. They may, however, force Roy to kick Hairston off the team. This remains to be seen.

    3) The News & Observer’s been on it for a while, too, with the Pack Pride people and the N&O feeding off each other to keep it going when everyone else is trying to sweep it under the rug in North Carolina. The UK poster, Aligned4Nine (or however he writes it) also allegedly had to tone down his digging because UNC exerted pressure on his employer. It’s unclear whether UNC personnel directly contacted, or if it was fans/boosters. Also, he said (either on RR or Pack Pride) that he consulted with attorneys and is in no danger/is in the right, but his employer asked him to tone it down just for the sake of peace.

Evidence has also tied McDonald on UNC to Fats, I think, including a cell phone he tweeted about getting and possibly another rental. NC St fans have dug through and saved pictures and tweets with additional connections to Fats or questionable possessions of players, but much of that has since been deleted, too. Copies exist on many Wolfpack fan computers.

The author of the USA Today article responded to a tweet about wondering about other UNC player traffic citations and the associated vehicles with “way ahead of you.” It also shouldn’t be too hard to find out if Fats has gotten traffic citations on UNC’s campus or has had season tickets/appeared behind the bench or anything. Everything rivals claim WWW does for UK (but ignore when he’s at other schools), Fats may be doing.

It’s possible that there’s a lot more obvious connections to Fats than have been revealed, and eventually someone in the national media is going to ask how he’s been arrested dozens of times, convicted of felonies, and never served jail time. That says he made deals and/or was protected by the DA.

Even if the NCAA can ignore the academic scandal revelations and continue to hide emails they were supposed to have already turned over, they can’t keep sitting on this if the mainstream sports media is being forced to report it.

By the way, in addition to the investigator that basically cleared UNC being a UNC fan/alum, apparently the head of the ACC is, too.

Rumor has it that Kyle Wiltjer will be ineligible this year due to this recent information. If the 2nd car ends up being true E Kanter will not be eligible for the Jazz next year.
