Owsley County High School could be aiming big

Move over Abe Lincoln Rock, there might be a new headliner in Booneville.  It’s being reported that former Kentucky Wildcat Rodrick Rhodes is a candidate for the head coaching job at Owsley County High School.  Rhodes, currently an assistant at Texas-Pan American, is believed to be one of the leaders for the job, along with some guys who were not Parade All-Americans or first round draft picks.  Should Rhodes get the job, this could be the first domino in the “UK transfer returns to local high school” movement that could see Shagari at Adair County High School, Bernard Cote at Lawrence County and Adam Williams at Paint Lick Elementary School.

I taught at Owsley County HS for 1 year. He would need to go somewhere where there is still not rampant racism and there is an actual talent pool. That area produces nothing that could compete with anything but moonshine and meth. Stay away Rod, stay away.
