Once again, Matt refuses to allow a caller to finish a thought and has the call terminated. Come on Matt, we want to hear all comments. As long as they are respectful, let people talk.

The *way* we beat teams at their own game was the most fun!
    – Out-gunning Indiana
    – Shutting down Louisville defensively
    – Going around, through, and over Baylor’s athletes
    – Out rebounding and hustling Kansas

    Also great –
    – Doron Lamb going nuts vs. Iowa State (and Indiana)

    – The aftermath. #LexingtonPoliceScanner

That was no easy path and those guys flat out got it done. EPIC season!

Davis’s block against UNC was also one of my favorite UK game moments.

I believe next year will be EPIC as well.

Great time to be a Wildcat!
I was at UK during the middle of the Tubby years and I can tell you I appreciate where we are now.

This was the first ky national Championship I got to experience in my adult life and I had to experience it in the hospital recovering from major intestinal surgery. I went in for a 2nd emergency surgery the morning of the game against Louisville and one of the last things I told my wife was to be sure she went home to record the game (like I was actually going to be home to see it). I ended up having them get me out of bed so I could sit up to try and stay awake (from the lasting effects of Anesthesia and pain medication) to watch it. I was able to enjoy the
    championship game though!

#13, Dragontale, Rumor has it, that Gordon will pick Arizona. UK supposedly not even in the mix. Why he listed them who knows except that it looks good for him to consider UK.

I was at the Baylor game, it was amazing. But my favorite moment of that game was early. At the first timeout, the Dad of a Baylor family was next to us and I over heard him saying, when they were up 10-5, “I’m glad this is happening, they deserve it.” After the timeout UK went on that run and went up 20-10. I just looked over at him, I did not say anything, just a little smile and brief eye contact while laughing to myself.

Oh and watching the UK vs Indiana game at the Hooters in Richmond, Ky was amazing.

I think the “surprise” in the Gordon decision is that Washington had been the leader and it switched to Arizona … either way, it appears Washington and Oregon are out, UCLA is also out … it’s down to the Wildcats and the … umm … the Wildcats. We can still hope for another 90 min.

Watched video of the championship game on YouTube last week. What a good feeling to see those players. Hopefully a view of things to come in 13/14.

I was in Indy in 97 when Arizona beat us in overtime, it was a long ride home. Last year we believed in our team so much we purchased tickets to the championship game after UK won their second game in the tourney. The cost was $1200.00, so it was quite a gamble. I cannot express the joy of watching the CATS win the championship in person with my wife and daughter. It was one of my goals in life. We are already making plans to attend the final for in 2014!

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings in Orlando with over 400 Kentucky fans! The staff even decorated the entire place with blue balloons and napkins. They gave out blue shots at half time and played “We are the Champions” when we won and then “My Ole Kentucky Home” played and the entire place sang it as loud as we could! It was an amazing experience!

Was “stuck” at Disney World on a school trip…(who planned that anyway!). Took my son, another dad and his kids, and went to a BW-3s near Orlando that the Central Florida UK alumni club had “invaded” for the evening. They had UK fight song taped and played it during timeouts, had “My Old Kentucky Home” for after the game, huge inflatable Wildcat, very large screen TVs, the place was packed. An absolute blast hanging with my fellow (mostly senior) BBN alumni in Central Florida!

Last year was one that I will never forget. I would’ve made the trip to New Orleans, but I tore my ACL two weeks before and the surgery had me unable to do so. So my family and friends rallied around the television and cheered the Cats to number 8.

My family uses Kentucky sporting events as a time to get together and escape from lifes everyday challenges. Hopefully we get to experience many more championships in our lifetime but if we don’t, I will never forget the people I spent that evening with.

#8 was great, and it is and always will be more than just a basketball game to the Hall family.

I was in a bar in Winston Salem, NC watching and was literlly the only person in the bar cheering for UK. There weren’t any Kansas fans there, but everyone was cheering for them bc they hated to see us win. When the buzzer went off, I ran to the bathroom and started screaming and jump kicked the hand dryer, and then composed myself and went back to my seat. When I got back, there was a shot of Makers Mark waiting for me that said “Congrats” on a napkin and basically everyone had left the bar. It was a cool memory, but I wish I had been in Lexington.

Flew into Columbus for work (traveling consultant), took the rental car and met freinds off of Alysford in Lexington, hit the bar that use to be called Lynagh Club (not the Pub but the Club), and partied like a rock star. Broke a gutter trying to climb the building during the celebration (similar story in 98′), fell on my face and broke my hand. Lost my wallet in the process, had to drive through Dayton the next AM on the way back to Columbus and borrow gas money from my parents (I was 39 at the time). Later Tuesday evening I had to walk to the local hospital to have my hand X-rayed and finally made it into work on tuesday looking like the a mugging victim. I proceeded to tell all who asked completely different stories, most as outlandish as the next. On a possitive most thought I was beat up by a bouncer but I got some credibiity with the broken hand that I at least got one shot in. Looking to rinse and repeat next year!

I was standing outside the team hotel with the rest of BBN before they were to leave for the arena. Things were intense and everyone was anxiously awaiting for the team to board the bus. The skies were dark & ominous with an impending thunderstorm ready to erupt. All of a sudden, there was a huge lightning bolt and crash of thunder which caused fans to burst with excitement and start doing Cats cheers and go big blue chants. It was so awesome!!! I still get tingles thinking about it! What an amazing night (weekend) in New Orleans!!!!!
    GO CATS!!!

I was on a cruise ship heading to the Bahamas on my honeymoon. Wearing our blue we ran into several UK fans on the ship. They showed the game on the jumbo screen on the top deck. It was the coolest way to watch us win #8.

Went to 2 keys with a friend and a co worker. The weather was perfect the evening was perfect. That is still one of the best nights of my life. Never will forget counting down that last minute and going crazy. Pouring out onto s lime and hugging and high fiveing thousands of my closest friends. I’m a GAM and yes I cried. When I’m old and can’t remember my name or what year it is… I will still remember that night.

It was the perfect storm for me. Been going to the SEC tourney 12 (13 out of 15 now) out of the last 14 years. Already had Final 4 tickets. Bought tickets (took a chance) to Louisville and Atlanta right before the SEC Tourney. Had rooms at the Marriott on Canal St. Sat next to Oscar Robertson, spoke with Bill Rafferty, saw Gary Williams/Maryland coach, and Bruce Pearl in the lobby. Got autographs from Shaun Woods, Rollie Massino, Nolan Richardson, Jay Bilas, Bob Knight and John “Hondo” Havlicek. Free Jimmy Buffet concert. Great time with great friends. My wife asked how much this was costing? I said “don’t know, don’t ask, don’t care, I will just pay the bills when they come in”. Once in a lifetime change to follow a UK championship. Off the bucket list.
