Oliver “Cheeto” Simmons lands a new coaching job

In today’s edition of Where-Are-They-Now?, former Kentucky forward Oliver Simmons is returning home to the Volunteer State to coach basketball. The University School of Jackson, a college preparatory school in Jackson, Tn., recently named Simmons head coach of its boys basketball team. He will also teach history while his wife teaches English and their children attend the school.
Simmons, a Nashville native, won a title at Kentucky in 1996 as a freshman with the Untouchables. He transferred to Florida State after suffering a broken leg early in his sophomore season at UK.
Simmons participated in the Alumi game last summer and received a championship ring as part of the 1996 team reunion in Rupp Arena last season.

Cheetos. Wonder why they would call him that. When I was younger I had the name “Cheeto bag” because I once wiped my ass on a plastic Cheeto bag. I’m guessing that isn’t the case with him.
Where’s the obligatory “red shoulder hair” reference?
Looks like he may have needed a cheeto bag after that picture was taken.
“They will lay the blame on the one who named him O-li-ver!”
Our nickname for Simmons was “Esau”. “Now the first came forth, red all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau.” He was a hairy mofo.
Simmons went to my highschool! We were in love.
Dude looks like “Gossamer” from the old Warner Brother’s cartoons…
