Okay, Steven Pearl, that’s pretty funny

Steven Pearl has been an easy target for Kentucky fans over the years. The goofy son of Bruce Pearl played at Tennessee while his dad was coaching, and was always a fun foil for UK fans. After Bruce Pearl was fired for inviting Aaron Craft to a BBQ and lied about to to NCAA investigators, we didn’t really hear much from Steven…until now.
Like his father, the younger Pearl proves he has an awesome sense of humor in an ad for a Knoxville BBQ restaurant. He starts the ad with the line, “If there’s one thing we Pearls know, it’s how to throw a barbecue” and keeps the laughs rolling with “Just remember, my two rules for legendary backyard barbecues: get your food from Calhoun’s and absolutely no photography” before ending with this disclaimer: “Offer not available to Aaron Craft.”
Props, Steven. Props.

@#1 I Tennessee what you did there…
1) No that’s Pearl… and it’s genius!
That was pretty funny…lol…
TSR? Didn’t know that existed. Good stuff!
Pitino should do a penicillin ad
Love it. I miss Bruce in the SEC. I find it funny that while he was at UT he always seemed to compliment UK, but now that he is out he sticks it to us every chance he gets.
1. Love that there’s a TSR.
2. Calhoun’s is amazing.
quality radio spot, not available to Aaron Craft
7. He’d sell his soul to be Cal’s replacement. I met him last summer and he actually loves UK’s program and fan base. He’s still in east TN, so he keeps up the appearances.
Calhoun’s, the Boone’s Butcher Shop of East Tennessee.
Lol I went to their site and am currently Listening to TSR. Its awful. Makes you really appreciate the personalities on KSR. Makes y’all look really good at what you do.
10–good point. And I agree, he would love to come here and before his scandal I was hopeful he would. Not happening now though.
Does anyone find it unusual that a kid from a nice Jewish home is shilling for a BBQ place?
#14 That’s funny right dere. I don’t care who you are.
Calhoun’s is awesome, just ate there on Saturday.
Calhoun’s is a really nice place to eat while in the smokies… Appalachian Pale Ale or Black Bear Ale is the way to go ..reasonably priced joint…. nice folks ….Eff a pearl tho
Holy Crap!
Just realized the host of Tennessee Sports Radio is Jason Bailey of Bandy and Bailey in the morning. Mind = Blown
I have lived in Knoxville all my life and first of all this spot is very funny. The radio station has been around for ever, just don’t know how long they have had that name. The best sports talk show in Knoxville is on there from 11-1, but everything else on there is pretty bad. Tony Basilio is the 11-1 guy and he is very good, similar to MJ as he states he is a fan of UT, not just some journalist hosting a show. Calhoun’s is amazing, the BBQ is fantastic, but they have great catfish also, and try the corn pudding. Two locations in Knoxville, one in Nashville. Cool setting as it is wedged in between the river and right near Neyland. That is all. Go Cayts.
don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there. too bad pearl got his dumbass fired. he was a colorful adversary who made the rivalry interesting and fun
That was great
