Oh hey, Braxton Berrios highlights

Almost immediately after donning the blue and white UK hat on Friday, Drew Barker was talking recruiting. In particular, he was eager to discuss the active role he hoped to play in luring elite talent to the bluegrass. And one of the names he dropped most often was Braxton Berrios, a 4-star receiver out of Raleigh, NC.
The Wes Welker clone would be more than just another feather in Neal Brown’s cap; he’s an elite talent who has the skill set to make an immediate impact in the SEC. At 5’9, 180 lbs with explosive lateral quickness, Barrios seems tailor-made to play on the inside of Brown’s Air Raid. That said, he’s more than capable of making plays all over the field. Evidence of this can be found in his ridiculous highlight reel:
Yep, I know. He’s a good one. And his offer sheet (which features the likes of Virgina Tech, West Virginia, South Carolina and Tennessee), is proof of that. So, not only would a Berrios commitment be another major coup for Stoops and co., we’d get to watch Steve Spurrier eat his visor twice in one recruiting cycle. Yeahhh, I could really get used to this whole football recruiting thing.
No rest for the weary, Drew. Time to get on the horn and make some more calls.

Not sure if that has been mentioned already but 4 Star WR Recruit Lonnie Johnson said he will be announcing between Ohio St and UK tonight over Twitter.
How exactly is this kid listed as a WR? I don’t think I saw him lined up at receiver once in that whole video.
Not sure how a 5’9 180 lb kid can be an instant contributor on an SEC squad. Doesn’t look particularly fast but definitely has some running ability and good sight. Seems like a prima Donna the way he celebrates after every touchdown but I never scored any so how would I know. Impressive offer list but seems to me like we should be going after taller, faster receivers for the air raid.
I can hear air raid sirens going off in my head with every TD in that reel. Come on down Braxton
Did you guys see him go all Dickie Lyons on one player on special teams?
That dude #84 sitting on his shoulder must be really small.

check out the GPA-is he the next Brandon Knight? (Knight’s vertical at the nba combine was 37.5, Berrios may get to that too)
I don’t know what tape y’all were watching. This kid looks like a stud! He has incredible vision and can do a lot on the field. I want this kid bad. He will be a fan favorite ala Randall Cobb.
@3. The camera angle in the video is one that doesn’t really show how fast he is moving. He’s ery quick and sees the field outstanding. A college weight room can make this kid a major contributer. The air raid needs quick slot receivers to free up the deeper routes and keep the DBs guessing.
#3, you don’t watch much football do you? If you did, you would see some pretty amazing stuff in this video.
Didn’t really see him at receiver so his route running ability can’t be discussed. That, by the way, will have to be his strongest asset.
@lonniejohnson20 do what you do cats fans.
Little man doesn’t lack confidence does he? He loves him some…him!
He’s a quicker version of Dicky Lyons. Plays physical like Dicky and has that confidence and walk. We need guys like this. His short shuttle is crazy fast.
Another Derek Abney, maybe?
The Special Teams hit at the 3:57 mark was definitely out of the Dicky Lyons playbook…I like that attitude for a WR.
Would love to hear: “Barker to Barrios!! TD!! And a big Air Raid Siren!!!”
Berrios is a stud! After seeing the highlights, he becomes one of the “must get” recruits. He fits perfectly into the offense. Great speed and those long runs weren’t against a bunch of rag tag football players either. He’s a WR I want pretty bad now.
