It seems strange they made him one. I got no issues with it, I just don’t get why he got one. I had no idea someone outside of the actual team got one. No different than some random dude in the front office at the NY Giants getting one, just seems weird.

So are you guys gonna start calling the UK players commies and libs or whatever easy and incorrect term you are told to use? Good luck with that.

I cannot believe we are still throwing rocks at the only brethren we have (each other) while the political whores are owning our dignity.

Obama is a clown. Romney is as well of a different class. They are all bought and paid for WAY before they ever reach DC.

The system broke so hard and fast that no one noticed when it stopped working.

“They” won – all we care about now is making sure that the one we hate more doesn’t win.

Proper representation died in this country when we stopped making our own goods and controlling our own destiny.

Democracy leads to entitlement – entitlement leads to complacency – mass entitlement and complacency lead to socialism. It is the only eventuality we have based on the current climate.

So extending unemployment insurance in the face of a near-depression is socialism? Where exactly did Obama get his Socialist tendencies? Hawaii? As an 8-year old in Socialist(?) Indonesia? Harvard? Romney has two degress from Havard so I guess he is a double Socialist … :). The Dems have plenty of warts but the Republicans are actually quite treasonous at the moment. They vote against bills they’ve supported in the past and openly, I said openly, say their goal is to make Obama a one term prez. To hell with the country, let’s just get power back. Make right wing hate radio mad, open up a book or do some independent research.

I wonder how many people complaining about corporations even batted an eye when they voted into office the previous congress who, with the help of Obama, created the single most destructive piece of legislation in American political history, forever changing the relationship between citizen and the government. They voted into office people who stripped us of the right to decide whether we, as individuals, will live or die.

But by all means, keep calling those who oppose such Tyranny rednecks. It is my sincere hope that there are enough “rednecks” left in this nation to reverse the damage that progressivism has wrought upon our country over the last century. It is my sincere hope the country has enough time to recover from this.

#40….unemployment “insurance” as you call it is socialism. It is redistribution by the government. Taking from those that are working to give to those that are not. That is the definition of socialism….redistribution. You are obviously not very educated on politics.

42 and the other ‘conservatives’ would rather have the masses of unemployed panhandling in the streets, robbing liquor stores and breaking into his home so they can feed their children. Not to mention what it would do to the economy if all those people stopped buying things.

    Honestly, you people are dopes.

#42…maybe you should learn what unemployment insurance is. You pay it while you’re employed and it’s only available to people that were employed and lost their job. SO moron the people drawing it paid into it.

I am encouraged by the pro Obama people coming out of the closet today. Maybe the voters in Kentucky are not as deluded as previously thought. Our citizens have long been tricked into voting against their own best interests by the powerful monied special interest folks who use trival issues to distract and divide us. Keep the people poor, uneducated, unhealthy, and enslaved and you can have your way with them.

President Obama got one because he’s the POTUS. every year, the NCAA Champs present the President with a unique gift. Cal decided it should be a championship ring. that’s it, that’s all.

44, You are wrong about how unemployment works and even if u were correct would u really want the govt to be ur safety net. Do you really want them taxing everyone to subsidize the few that lose their job or do you think each person should be responsible for the self (I know what a foreign concept…..self accountability). Trust me if the govt were to run the unemployment tax you speak of….u could individually buy separate insurance for a lot cheaper.

I’m less than shocked to see not a single coherent argument to support Obama and his policies. All I hear is name-calling and appeals to emotion. True conservatives speak about the sanctity of the individual and the responsibilities that come with liberty. True conservatism speaks truth to the unlimited power and tyrannical nature inherent in the current state of our federal government and seeks to restore our unalienable rights granted to us by our creator.

Leftist statists generally aren’t intelligent enough to explain thier positions and when pressed they argue against individual liberty and for tyrannical authoritarianism.
