Not So Fast My Friend – Joe B To Coach UK Legends?

During the requested time, Dr. Steven Hochman, assistant to for

Yesterday was a wild ride covering the Joe B Hall story.  First it seemed as though he would coach the UK Pros, then it seemed as though the NCAA wasn’t going to allow it.  Finally, the story looked to be at a close when Calipari announced Hall as a member of his Dominican Republic staff.  It wasn’t the best solution to a sad situation, but we could all revel in the ingenuity of Calipari for finding a spot on the sideline for Hall, even if it wasn’t coaching the UK Legends.

Well it looks like the story has yet another level.  According to WKYT, an interview with John Calipari revealed that the ‘coach’ for the UK Legends had to come from the Dominican Republic coaching staff.  The same staff that Joe B Hall was just hired on to.  If these developments hold, it would appear as though Joe B Hall now has the door open to coach the former UK players, just like we all wanted originally.

Coach Calipari once again appears to be five steps ahead of pretty much everybody else.  There’s just no comparison.  Next we’ll be talking about how he announced every former UK player as a member of the Dominican Republic staff – just so they can get their recognition.

Also, if you haven’t yet, check out Coach Halls thoughts on the past few days from his interview last night with Matt.

Don’t think that has to mean Joe B will be the coach. I think you are all reading into that the wrong way. Will probably just be another member of his staff. If it would have been Joe B, there’s no reason Cal couldn’t have just said that.

3 – Agree. Doesn’t mean he has to. But if the UK Pro coach does have to come from the DR staff, it means he’s eligible. Not saying it’s going to happen, just that it’s a possibility again.

If Calipari’s son, Brad, has even half the ability to think outside the box like Cal, he should be named as the coach in waiting!

Cal is way too smart for coaching basketball, he should work on the debt issues.

When will KSR report that the NCAA is innocent regarding the Joe B debacle? You perpetuated this myth, now own it.

Hiya, I don’t agree with everything in this write-up, but you do make some very excellent points. I’m very intrigued in this matter and I myself do alot of research as well. Either way it was a well thoughtout and nice read so I figured I would leave you a comment.
