Noel Headed Towards Washington?

A number of NBA writers are speculating today that Nerlens Noel could be headed toward the Washington Wizards in next week’s draft. According to Steve Kyler, Alex Len is becoming a possibility for the Cleveland Cavs at #1, Victor Oladipo is almost certain to go to the Magic at #2 and if those two things happen, Noel would end up with the Wizards. For Nerlens that could be a very good spot, as the Wizards are probably not as bad as their draft spot would suggest. The finished with only the 7th worst record and after their entire lineup got healthy, they played on the level of a playoff team…not a terrible spot for Noel to end up.

And oh yeah, he would play with a guy named John Wall. I think we would have another BBN team…

I hope he goes to the 1994 Houston Rockets.

Washington and Cleveland have both been drafting well and both would be good places for Noel. Anything to keep him away from the Bobcats as great as MJ was as a player he equally sucks as a GM!
Too me this is the best pick ever for a NBA team. With Nerlens hurt this could very well equate to 2 top picks. Who ever takes him will suck next year and stand a good chance at a top pick next year too. Then in 2 years they would have 2 top flight players joining their team. In the NBA the worst thing is being a average team. It’s hard to improve with middle of the first round picks. You need to be real good or real bad!

I really hope this comes to be. After the way Gilbert left LeBron hanging with no help in Cleveland, then acted like a 5 y.o. when he left, he doesn’t deserve a high-character kid like Nerlens. I can live with UK losing out on a guy not going #1, if it means they go to a better team, with better owners.
