Watched a little of the CBSSports NBA Draft breakdown last night, looking for some love for Jorts or Liggins (I knew Kanter and Knight would be covered), and can someone tell me how John Rothstein, who is obviously the biggest d-bag in the sports world, got a job with CBS?? He’s like Bob Costas without the talent. I think I’d rather have a beer with Coach K over that dude. A close second in the biggest d-bag award also sits on that panel in Wally “the Face” Szerbiak.

There is a station in Knoxville that calls people blindly and doesn’t tell them that they are on the radio. It’s a game they play where one contestant calls someone that they know without warning and attempts to get the other person to say a certain keyword on the air. Go for it and call.

Is it just me or do most UK fans only follow the NBA as far as the teams that have UK players on them? I followed the Sixers and Jodie Meeks all year long because I think he’s a great underdog story. WTG Doug Collins for giving him a chance to start. Anyone notice that he tied the Sixers (Allen Iverson)single period scoring record last year? I think it was 21, shortly after Collins realized the Meeks was the best shooter he had, and gave him a starting job. Kudos to Meeks for coming back to UK to finish his degree this summer as well.

    48) I can respect that, but for the most part, I don’t enjoy watching NBA games that don’t feature former UK players until the playoffs come. For me then, and only then, is the NBA worth watching. But I don’t have a favorite team. I’m sure it would be different if I was emotionally invested in an NBA team. I’m open to suggestions. My NBA fandom is completely up for grabs.

    55) Most recent KSR blog post makes me hopeful- If Liggins and Meeks team up in Philly, I’m on board with the Sixers for the whole year next year. They were two of my favorites, and I already followed the Sixers most of last year. Liggins fits in with Doug Collins defensive mindset. And everyone wants to get rid of Igodala. Might be an opening there for Liggins to get some PT in the future.
