No offer for Mislav Brjova yet
His official visit to Lexington is out of the way but Mislav Brjova doesn’t hold an offer from UK just yet. It appears Coach Cal is holding off to see what happens with other targets before he gives Brjova the opportunity to wear Kentucky blue. Former Xavier guard Mark Lyons does have an offer from the Cats and he is Kentucky’s first choice from the available guys at the guard spot.
For what it’s worth, I asked RafaÅ‚ Juć, a scout for Eurohopes.com, what he thinks about Brjova’s game and he called him the top member from the European 1994 generation. Juć said Mislav’s game is really versatile, he has the suitable size to play at UK, and could one day be an NBA player.

Cal is great and I trust him but I’d rather have this kid than the guy who throws punches and calls himself a proud thug afterwards, even if the kid from Xavier is better.

I tend to agree with #1 but I think Cal wants Lyons because he is only eligible for one year. This kid will be here for 3 or 4 years. Lyons frees up a scholarship for next year and fills a need for this year.

This kid does not sound like a good fit at all. Again, I think this is just a way of puting pressure on the guys that we really want. Lyons would be perfect ciz he’d leave after one year and Torian Graham I’m still torn on. I think I’d like Graham more than anybody.

Whats wrong with a 3-4 year prospect instead of a 1 year? It worked out pretty well for Miller, Liggins, Harrelson, Patterson didn’t it ? Lyons is a THUG and has the record to prove it. BBN has evolved to the point in NCAA BB that we don’t have to take some loser just because he’s good. We passed on that punk from Wake Forest; we can(and should)pass on this one. The other kid has been playing in Europe for years. And that doesn’t count for experience ? Look what a European team did to the US team of Muhammed and Noel and others 3 weeks ago. Lyons will be playing for California Penal system before long. We don’t need the publicity if he comes here and screws up like he did at Xavier MULTIPLE times. And he will.

With the HUGE class coming next year don’t think Cal wants to waste a scholarship on second tier player. If Cal thinks he can handle this kid that’s enough for me. Don’t think any of these players other than Bennett are good enough to turn away Young,Parker are Harrison twins next year.

I thought it was Brzoja, not Brjova. Just because you can’t learn how to pronounce it doesn’t mean you’re invited to misspell it.
