Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

No News Is, Well, News – Nothing On Daniels Tonight

You would figure by 7:30 on a Saturday, no new news would break, wouldn’t you?  Not so fast my friend!  According to Deandre Daniel’s illegitimate brother Evan, there will be no news tonight on where he will be playing basketball in the immediate future.  So yeah.  Go about your New Years Night everyone, nothing to see here.

Let’s just hope he made a New Years resolution to be more decisive.

Go Cats.

“Let’s just hope he made a New Years resolution to be more decisive.”–And by that, you meant “Let’s just hope he made a New Years resolution to be a Kentucky Wildcat.”

I can’t recruit with Cal. Glad he backed off Selby and NCAA gave us the gift of letting him play despite taking agent money. Good luck with that Free Enes thing! Oh, and #5, sorry to hear that Rick. Hope it clears up buddy. Lots of penicillin.

Not sure about this Daniels dude…seems to have problems with decision….may also be a chemistry killer on team.

Or he may be making the biggest decision of his life so far and wants to make sure that he makes the right choice.

Jones seemed to have the same issues.. That one worked out pretty well for us I believe. It will get figured out.

Not saying thats what we got here but as this current group of Cats shows, No Room For Drama Queens. If you and your family want to promote you career by giving yourself up to a to a proven process of the highest level then fine but if you or family members have a better understanding of how your talents are best developed and in the process seem to enjoy drawing attention to themselves; this is the wrong place.

Great “get” for sure if we do get him…-but wonder about 2 small forwards (Gilchrist) now coming in as thats a bit different than say 2 guards coming in. Kinda would rather focus to be on Lacey but we will see. Our teams change so much now fom year to year, it’s no tellin’ who we will have exept for talent! Good enough for me.

Let the college kid make a decision. hes being recruited by 3 major programs and has until Jan 11 to decide. So instead of bashing him and saying he’s a chemistry killer and has problems making decisions, give him a break. If he comes to UK GREAT, if not oh well. BUt bashing a kid that you will cheer for if he says UK is stupid

I would rather have Lacey. We already have kids like him for next year.

Exactly right 17. He may also be waiting for the Enes ruling to come down. If Enes is eligible, he will probably go to Kansas. No Enes, Cal can almost guarantee him 25 minutes a game on a Final Four team!!!

    KU bound.

Guess I dont understand why our fan base would bash a kid that very well may want to come here, just because he has taken his allotted time to do so. He’s being recruited by virtually every major college in America and has reduced his decision to Kansas, UK, and Texas. Come on guys, my guess is that he wants to play for Cal, but he also knows next years team wont allow much playing time. He is a Small Forward, think about 2011’s roster. He will have to compete with Miller, Liggins, and Gilchrist at that spot.

Maybe recruiting wasn’t what it was when Billy Clyde was at Kentucky. I quit

Didn’t the NCAA say they were going to rule on enes this year? All this enes/deandre anticipation is killin me…damnit I drank all my woodford reserve last night.

    Free enes
    Sign deandre
    Play jorts
    Drink bourbon

    11) Know who else wanted to be here? BCG, Hunter McLintok, KC Ross Miller, Vinny Zollo…etc.

  25. Han
    11:12 pm January 1, 2011 Permalink

    21) Agreed.

If he wants to play immediately and win big this year, come here or go to Kansas. If he wants to practice and start next year, Texas may be his best bet. But if he’s willing to fight for his minutes next year, and if he wants to be part of potentially the best team on paper in history, he should come here. Last year (and UNC’s title year where they sent 7 or 8 to the pros) have proven that you can make the NBA in one year even if you come off the bench. Cal’s also shown he can get you ready for the pro game.

But I don’t begrudge the kid taking his time. As far as I know, he’s not hurting any of the teams by waiting and he’s the main one hurt if he acts too soon and makes the wrong decision.

Illegitimate brother,or how was it worded by another blogger ,a brother from another mother. You guys are a frickin joke !You have the pleasure to write on this site for fans of UK and other colleges and here ya’ll are writing an article about a kid who could be leaning toward signing with UK,so,you make it a point to let everyone know that he has a halfbrother.Maybe i’m taking this the wrong way, and if so,then i apologize, but the way it comes across is not very flattering to say the least. We have some of the worst fans when it comes to putting a kid or coach down for not being perfect.I expect more from someone who writes a blog for Kentucky sports.Sorry for the rant but enough is enough.

Funny thing to me how people assume he would come off the bench. I would venture to bet the same folks have not seen this young man play besides a video clip on youtube.

Oh and #26 I believe he is refering to Evan Daniels the recruiting guru.
