No more divisions for SEC basketball

It’s official.  The Southeastern Conference’s athletic directors approved the recommendation of the basketball coaches that the league’s two divisions unite as one effective immediately.  The league will now be a single twelve team conference, doing away with the East and West.  For the time being, they will keep the same 16-game schedule under the old format.  What will happen in 2012-13 is still under review.

Rejoice, my brothers and sisters!  We are now united as one!

They’re gonna try to f*ck us over with the schedule in the coming years, as far as who we play twice and where we play teams that we play once.

    3. The good part is it won’t work. We’ll be too good for it to really matter which SEC teams we get to beat twice a season and which we only get to beat once.

Stupid poster, I guess liberals want to unite us. Oh that is right they do, they want to give everyone who doesn’t work our money and pretty much everything else they want and that way we are united by a common thread the working man’s money. Keep to sports and UK sports in particular such as the actual story of no more divisions within the SEC which is something I believe we can all agree on.

I believe they should still play 5 teams twice a year and the other 6 once a year like it has been, but alternate the teams they play twice. Every school will avoid playing one opponent twice for 2 years. But with the format that was in place, opposite divisions never played twice in one year. So this definitely evens out the league and should get more teams in the big dance. But as long as we are at the top of the league, I really dont care how they change it.

6 – I find your arguments about liberals to be highly persuasive. Surprising since you seem like an inbred idiot.

with the divisions gone they should play each team 2x. its the simplest and most fair way to split it up. if they go in another direction we will be like big least fans only guessing who we play each year. and by not playing each team 2x it could actually hurt us. imagine not playing florida and tenn 2x but instead playing auburn and lsu. that would seriously hurt our rpi.

    13) basketball only from what I’ve read

    14) who cares?? We’ll own the SEC and still be a #1 seed in the big dance

The bad thing about this is that UK will have to go to Starkville more often… I hate that village.

This new unity means nothing much changes, but it does make me feel the need to shoot over the hedge at the neighbor.

17- BE was handed 19 tourney berths in the past 2 seasons and ALL any of those 19 teams have to crow about is beating UK by 1 single point in the lone FF that any of said 19 teams even sniffed.

did you miss that part on purpose?

10/18- Inbred idiot? That is typical for a liberal, no argument just name calling since facts are meaningless; just pass the money please we are kindhearted in the way we redistribute it. If she, Sarah Palin, is a trailer park queen I bet she at least paid for her trailer. But I really don’t want a poster of her either, I suppose you’d like one of the great Jimmy Carter. Myself, I’d prefer a UK one and to keep politics and religion off the site, this isn’t CNN or Fox News.

throw out Ark and SC and go back to a 10 team round robin schedule like it used to be, restart UKIT, drop sec tourney, hire Ky people (Cal can stay), sign at least one Ky kid every year, and play on Mon and Sat
