University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

No High School Games For You!

You do not mess with the NCAA and now Texas and ESPN know that.  The NCAA ruled Thursday that networks affiliated with universities – i.e. the Longhorn Network – cannot show games featuring high school athletes.  The school and the network created a controversy several weeks ago when the preliminary programming schedule was released and it was announced that recruiting targets would have their high school games featured.  Now, it’s just another crappy network with a lot of airtime to fill.  Order seven more Mack Brown shows!

Does this mean that A&M will not come to the SEC?

    2. I bet thats where Texas goes, they will go independent in football. They want people to leave the big 12 so they can look like they didnt abandon the conference

If networks affiliated with universities cannot show games with High School athletes, does that mean that ESPN due to their relationship with Duke will no longer be able to show H.S. games?

I don’t think it was the horns that were cut off. 🙂 They are certainly Longhorn Steers now.

Hmmm. Can ncaa tell ESPN what to air on their channels? Also ESPN can just throw in a sports package with another channel. Like the texas sports package. I dont think NCAA will win a lawsuit against disney.

    It’s another stupid ruling.

    Why can’t they show them?

What next? Is the NCAA going to rule that Schools with a steep tradition have an competitive advantage and must take down all references to their History including Championship banners, Final Four banners, etc.

The NCAA is the ultimate socialist system. It’s a disgrace to America.
