Nike Hoops Summit!

Nothing says international diplomacy like a little basketball, right? If you’re Dennis Rodman, that’s true. For the rest of us, it’s just a fun thing to look forward to on a Saturday night in the offseason.
Which is why tonight’s a perfect night for the Nike Hoops Summit, which will take place in Kyle Wiltjer’s home state of Oregon at Rose Garden, home to the Portland Trailblazers. Tonight’s not only an opportunity to watch some ball, but a chance to see some future (and prospective) Cats in action.
For the U.S. team, look for Julius Randle, Andrew, and Aaron Harrison to hold it down. All three should start, or at least get significant minutes. They’ll be on the floor with some other big names, including Florida’s Kasey Hill, Zona’s Aaron Gordon, and Jabari Parker from Duke.

The World team, former home to such exploits as Enes Kanter’s record-breaking performance, is once again fostering a future Cat in Karl Towns, Jr. Towns is only a junior going into this game, so because he might have another year, he might see limited minutes tonight. Still, it’s hard to keep a fluid, mobile, 3-pt. shooting 7-footer on the bench. Also, look to see his roommate, Andrew Wiggins, light things up a little bit. There’s been plenty of talk through the week of how the two interact in their free time, but that’s about to be over. The pair joins a squad of really complicated names that I can’t pronounce. So here’s a roster:

Game starts at 7 p.m. EST, and will air on ESPN 2. Check it out. You know you wanna.

I don’t understand how Derek Willis isn’t in it and bobby Portis is. D-Will destroyed him when they went one on one
I dont know about you, but im feeling 22
You know what I wanna… I wanna know how many times Randle will posterize Embiid?
I’ll be there. Heading downstairs to catch the MAX train to the Rose Garden soon.
If they want to win Karl Towns will see lots of minutes.
I’ll be there to get a closer look at all my investments. Got burned last year, won’t happen again.
#7-You are a Moron. Same shi$,different day.
blah, blah, blah, and furthermore….Blah!
8) You should be kissing my beanbag, hick. I have brought crazy talent to your program. Hopefully, 7 or 8 future pros will be enough for Cal to get it done.
#10, you loserville fans SUCK! GO CATS!!
I’ve been posing as a Kentucky fan, but got to leave now fellas. Time to start cruising on broadway in da ville. Got to trim my beard and make sure my flat bill looks good.
#10-You are a Cretin! Have you even kept up with current events? Obviously not. The only thing to kiss is your a$$ goodbye…
#10-And you are, What, exactly? Urbane and sophisticated? I think not! Don’t call someone a Hick when you have the IQ of a gnat (sorry to he gnat population)…
Wish we had at least one white boy playing in this thing.
I understand how Towns can somewhat put on the recruiting shoes in regards to the matter, however, those two will never play a game together at UK regardless.
2… Derek Willis? Seriously? Are you out of your damn mind? He only put up 6 in the derby festival classic
10… If you truly believe that, then you are a complete moron. But you prbly already have been told that plenty of times
I wisht I was playing under my stage name.
Willis was scoreless in the first half, but he ended up with six points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 16 minutes off the bench. The assist and block totals tied team highs, and his seven boards were one shy of team leader Devin Davis.
What say you now, #17?
Willis will transfer by Christmas.
You dumb ass ul fans don’t realize the only reason you won is- Cal has taken away all of Duke’s, UNC’s, & Kansas’ recruiting. If not for that, one of those three would have won it this year. Unfortunately, one of you pretenders will have to win it when UK has a down year. However, those years will be few and far between.
20… Yea in the derby festival classic. This is the Nike hoops summit.
who’s the usa coach????
#23-No point in engaging in a battle of wits with an unarmed Man-get what I’m saying?
Just like I will make sense by Christmas.
22) Then you are basically saying Cal is a garbage coach. If he has gathered all the recruits, as you suggest, why couldn’t he win with them?
Uh, #27-I don’t think that is what #22 was saying. Can’t understand? You must not have paid much attention…
AAU ball not as good as Euro ball.
