Nerlens Noel still number one in Chad Ford’s latest mock draft

It’s a new week, which means a new mock draft from ESPN’s Chad Ford. Ford still has Nerlens Noel going as the number one pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but says that right now, that’s not a lock, just an “educated guess”:

Nerlens will visit the Cavaliers on June 20th, one week before the draft.
In case you’re curious, Ford did not project fellow Cat Archie Goodwin to go in the first round. Archie being an early second round pick seems to be the growing consensus among national writers.

Pass on him Cleveland and enjoy years of regret. He’s a hard worker and a character guy who is going to be a great pro for years.
I don’t think Alex Len has any upside at all. I can see Porter being taken over Noel if people are still worried about his knee but why is another injured big man with less talent being considered?
Cleveland really should trade the pick. There are no real impact players out there (Nerlens has NBA quality defense but the offense isn’t there) and they might be able to take on someone’s higher salary that can actually help them win.
Kyrie, Waiters, and Noel would be a problem for the league for a longgggg time. That fast break would be frightening to defend
It pains me to see that picture of Nerlens with a sword through his head …OUCH!
