Nerlens Noel and Jon Hood show support for young athlete

Earlier this week, Jon Hood and Nerlens Noel took a moment to take a picture to show their support for a young girl from Jessamine County. Haley Woosley, a freshman soccer player, recently tore her ACL and is in the midst of rehabbing her knee. Hood and Noel’s thoughtful gesture gave Woosley the pick-me-up she needed during a tough time in her life.

Well done boys. I’ll miss Nerlens court presense obviously but I can’t recall a player giving so much of his personal time to the Ky area, those in need, etc… as he has in such a small amount of time he has been with us. Good young man.

#4 I totally agree, I can’t remember another player in UK history that I heard more about doing things in the community. I was really impressed with the things that he did for the Goodwin Family and there son Lane. I’ve heard from friends and family that it really meant a lot to them. He’s a Class Act and the real deal and I hope he gets all he deserves! Good Luck Nerlens!

I know the pain & get well soon! Rehab is the toughest part. Hyperextended my knee and lost about half the cartilage behind the kneecap. Result-Lateral release

You guys are the best. You demonstrate that it’s not just about basketball. As Cal has shown, you use your position for doing good deeds to effect lives. That’s what life is about. Jon and Nerlens are on the right track.
