A quick one today, as I’m on my way to our CBS exit interview, where they’ve expressed an interest in having Matt and I team up as a trapeze act with Dallas‘ Patrick Duffy for an upcoming Circus of the Stars, so watch for that. In the meantime, let’s talk about the end of the game the other night. No, not the winner. The Jennifer Hudson music video masquerading as the anticipated “One Shining Moment.”
I’m not going to go too terribly much into my thoughts on the matter, since you’ve already heard BTI’s opinions on it in spades, but as I’d rather light a candle than curse your darkness, I’m here today to offer up another version of the classic tune.
Here, then, is a 2008 version of “One Shining Moment” as re-enacted by some eleven year-olds in their basement. You’ll notice alot of popping of a Jack McClinton jersey by a kid clearly excited about Miami’s one-round tourney victory over Saint Mary’s that year, but you’ll also notice some of the standard OSM cliches, which are almost all represented here. I think you’ll agree it’s fairly clever, even if they misspelled the name.
And with that, I’m all basketballed out for this week. Now we sit back and light a candle as recruiting news rolls in and our existing crew prepares for what’s next. Until next week, friends.
