NBA Cats Back On The Court

Currently Underway: Nets V Bulls
Earlier this morning Ally linked a post about Nazr Mohammed finally finding a home with the Bulls. After his play in this series against the Nets its easy to see why. Nazr has come off the bench and provided some great minutes in each of the last two games, both of which were a Bulls win. Nazr had 5 points and 6 rebounds in games 3 but has played some really good defense against Brook Lopez. Marquis Teague has been relegated to the bench for this series. He played 7 seconds in Game 3 but that was the extent of his action. It’s Teague’s first trip to the playoffs and they’re up against Deron Williams, so there is no room for a rookie mistake. The Bulls have the lead at the half and look to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
Keith Bogans has struggled in this series for the Nets. He has yet to score and didn’t play in Game 3 for the Nets. He has also been on the bench the entirety of today’s game.
Clippers V Grizzlies: Game 4

The Grizzles are trying to even up the series at home tonight as they host the Clips for Game 4. Tayshaun got the starting nod in Game 3 but finished with just 2 points. Prince has really been struggling to find his groove in this series as he is averaging just 3.3 points per game despite playing over 30 minutes. Perhaps tonight is the tonight for Prince to break out of this mini slump and find a way to outscore Caron Butler.
Eric Bledsoe’s great playoff run came to a halt in Game 3 where he was held scoreless for the first time this series. He shot 0-4 and grabbed just 1 rebound while dishing out 4 assists. Expect E. Bled to bounce back tonight as he has played well in the other two games backing up Chris Paul. I’d expect the Grizz to win this one in another great game between the two teams. This series looks like it’s going to go the distance and with the Thunder hobbled could provide and opening to the conference finals.
Thunder V Rockets: Game 3

Earlier this week it looked like the Thunder would roll to another Western Conference championship. Then Westbrook injured his MCL and is done for the year. The Thunder held on to win Game 2 105-102 but now the road will be much harder for the defending West champs. Deandre Liggins didn’t play in game two but I’d expect him to see some action tonight due to the Westbrook injury. Joining Liggins on the DNP list was Terrence Jones. Jones could get some clock tonight as the series moves to Houston. The rookie had four points in his playoff debut.

I’m going to be watching the guy with a mouth for a belly and a belly for a mouth.
Westbrook injured his meniscus, not his Medial Collateral Ligament(MCL).
Brooklyn is about to choke!
