NBA Cat Tracks: Opening Week

Ludacris’ Halloween costume plays his first official NBA game tonight at 8pm

Last night, we witnessed the 2012-2013 NBA season kick off with three games. All three of those games included former Kentucky Wildcat players, even though John Wall was inactive for the Wizards and Josh Harrellson didn’t get in. However, with the re-addition of Daniel Orton to the Thunder, we’re currently sitting at 21 total former Cats in the league. It’s a beautiful thing, so let’s keep track off how our guys are doing and who plays tonight:

John Wall, Washington WizardsDNP vs Cleveland, likely out until the end of November with a knee injury.

Jodie Meeks, LA Lakers3 points, 2 rebounds, 1-3 FG, 1-3 3pt  vs. Dallas. Game tonight vs Portland at 10:30pm.

Josh Harrellson, Miami Heat — DNP, coach’s decisions. Jorts didn’t get in, but he made the reigning championship team’s squad and that means a lot.

Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics — 20 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists, 9-14 FG, 0-2 3pt vs. Miami.

Anthony Davis, New Orleans Hornets — Game tonight vs. San Antonio at 7pm.

Darius Miller, New Orleans Hornets — Game tonight vs. San Antonio at 7pm.

Patrick Patterson, Houston Rockets — Game tonight vs. Detroit at 7:30pm.

Terrence Jones, Houston Rockets — Game tonight vs. Detroit at 7:30pm.

Enes Kanter, Utah Jazz — Game tonight vs. Dallas at 9pm.

Eric Bledsoe, LA Clippers — Game tonight vs. Memphis at 10:30pm.

Demarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings —  Game tonight vs. Chicago at 8pm.

Chuck Hayes, Sacramento Kings — Game tonight vs. Chicago at 8pm.

Deandre Liggins, OK City Thunder — First game tomorrow night.

Daniel Orton, OK City Thunder — First game tomorrow night.

Tayshaun Prince, Detroit Pistons — Game tonight vs. Houston at 7:30pm.

Brandon Knight, Detroit Pistons — Game tonight vs. Houston at 7:30pm.

Nazr Mohammed, Chicago Bulls — Game tonight vs. Sacramento at 8pm.

Marquis Teague, Chicago Bulls — Game tonight vs. Sacramento at 8pm.

Michael Kidd-GilchristCharlotte Bobcats — First game Friday night, and MKG is expected to start.

Doron Lamb, Milwaukee Bucks — First game Friday night.

Keith Bogans, Brooklyn Nets — Home opener from tomorrow night is cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.

Welp, there’s a long laundry list of all the pros we’re so proud to have in the NBA. We’ll keep future updates more about the stats, but it’s worth checking out a lot of the rookies’ first real pro games if you can. Any predictions for Anthony Davis’ stats tonight?

    1) Going by his preseason numbers, I’d say that’s a reasonable line.

If you could keep track of our NBA players (currently 21) with this graph daily, I would be very greatful. It takes a lot of time to pull up each box on espn.com. See it grouped together like this every day would be a Godsend.
