My what a difference a year can make…

(h/t @ChipperSmith13)

Look at the difference from last year’s crowd, estimated at approximately 4,500 vs. this year’s crowd, estimated at 50,000+. #StoopsEffect

I once successfully requested "The Wobble" to be played 6 times at one wedding.

havent won a game yet still. But good to see that ridding ourselves of the Joker and co. was enough to bring out the masses. Same players, same facilities, different attitude. Pretty incredible really

If Joker is goin to do the whole villian persona, than Stoops is Batman. Ridding Lexington of the darkness that the Joker brought to our Mecca. I hope Morgan Newton throws that in his cheerios and chokes on it too, was every bit of 55000 solid at CWS today. He said there wouldnt be. Boo Morgan.

This level of excitement can only rival that of when we hired Billy Gillispie.

I had great seats, but couldn’t make the game. Great to see such a big crowd. Sorry I missed it.

It’s great, my late father would have enjoyed it, but where were the real fans last year? This team will have some struggles (as any does in the SEC), so stick.

The fans are real jerks, Joker would have been successful if the fans did this when he was coach! NOT! UK fans are great! STOOPS! Joker was the anti-Stoops, he was POOTS!

When the joke was made head coach I knew UK was in big trouble. We got a football coach now and the difference is seen in enthusiasm, support, and general fan appeal. This team may not make it to a bowl this year but much brighter days are ahead.

Why are some people so mesmerized by the “wave”?? It went out of style in the 90’s for goodness sake. Some “fans” are more interested in it or a stupid beach ball than the game. It distracts people from paying attention to the game on the field and it makes us as a fanbase look ridiculous.

But Joker was a good guy…right Matt?

And 19…I agree 100% on the wave. I also pop every beach ball that comes within reach of me at the games…

19 & 20 – Do you enjoy screaming at kids to get off your lawn as well?

Get yer panties out of a wad. It was a spring game.

The wave and beach balls don’t only happen at spring games. It’s ridiculous how many times over the years our crowd tries to start a wave or hits a beach ball around and ignores play on the field. Even coach Brooks said the wave was a thing of the past when he was here.

4500 last year? I was there. They must have counted everybody twice. But, to be fair last year was cold, overcast, rainy/misty, windy. That certainly diminished a small crowd. A lot of people got the poster and left. This year the crowd stayed until fairly late, weather was good, posters better, and we’ve got a coach who understands football! Now if they could get better speakers for the UK band……
