Well the morning session is done here at the Gaylord Center and it provided the most frustration of any that I can remember. Usually the feeling is joy on Thursday afternoon, as my friend reunite, have fun and enjoy mediocrity in basketball. Today however, there was a palpable sense of stress in the audience, as everyone worried about the potential for a loss, which didnt happen, and worried that the expensive tickets (they raised the price) would be wasted as Kentucky was one and done.
But the Cats prevailed and now we call all enjoy a stress free, Auburn and Vandy night. I am hoping to see Auburn Elvis and listen to him sing “Aint Nothing but A Tiger” in his Elvis Twang. I also hope to see the Vandy dance team, who surprised everyone last year by not coming in last in our ratings of cheerleaders and dance teams.
In other news, I finally got a one-on-one with Renaldo Balkman….he assured me that South Carolina would be “keeping it real” against Tennessee tomorrow….that was good to know.
