The rumored deal of Coach Cal marrying LeBron James in a ceremony officiated by William Wesley continues to be the biggest story in sports on this fine Monday. ESPN’s Outside the Lines will take a look at who William Wesley is yhis afternoon, but, in the meantime, he’s keeping his name in the headlines. A couple of notes from today:
– ESPN’s Andy Katz says his sources tell him that the Chicago Bulls have no plans involving Calipari, though they have extensive plans of luring King James. This is a direct refute of the Chicago Tribune story published this morning.
– On another note, when contacted by the Courier-Journal’s Rick Bozich, Wesley said he had “no comment” on the stories linking him into a deal with LeBron, Cal and a team to be named later. It should be noted that Bozich is in the local media and Wesley was likely told to decline any interviews by Cal. Because he hates the local media.
– Also, ESPN’s Chris Broussard says this story appears to be inaccurate, at least based off of the sources he’s spoken with. Broussard says that LeBron would certainly welcome playing for Cal, but he’s not demanding it and he’s not sure any team would give him that power. Listen to him speak the good word below.
