More Details on Nerlens Noel’s Arrival

I know we’ve told you not to worry all summer. But now it seems as if we can say that with even more confidence when it comes to Nerlens Noel. Take a deep breath. Relax. Go back to growing out your flat top/high-top fade again. According to AOL Sporting News, Nerlens Noel will be in Lexington on August 19th. Noel has told AOL Sporting News that he has finished all of his prerequisite course work and will join his fellow teammates shortly.

“I’m real excited to get down there,” Noel told late Friday night. “Big Blue Nation, I know they’re ready for another great season. I’m looking forward to getting down there and working on my game, working on every aspect of my game and getting acquainted with my teammates and coaches.”

Noel who was originally part of the 2013 recruiting class, had to put in quite a bit of extra work in order to meet the requirements to reclassify for the 2012 class. It appears as if the work is now finished and the only thing on Noel’s mind is his arrival in Lexington. Noel hasn’t had the opportunity to go through all of the summer workouts with the rest of his teammates while he was finishing up his course work. Hopefully he can catch back up to speed quickly.

See ya soon, big fella. Take another deep breath now just for good measure.

Just think if he didn’t reclassify. Just imagine the possibility for the 2013 class.

Kentucky is better than Louisville because it has “No L”.

You read it on KSR first….

Ally – Your bolded line on the last paragraph is exactly why people were worried. While I think we all assumed there was a 95% chance that Nerlens would take care of business, it wasn’t 100%.

#8-I am sure you actually represent the NCAA. How can we doubt your cred? However, we must ask for an American interpreter so you can complete your sentence. Is there one nearby?

Hope he gets to practice with the team while waiting to be cleared. Just because he is enrolled does not mean he is eligible. Fingers crossed though.
