More Commitments Rolling In For Joker

Look at the drills!

While the past week may have been slow in general news, it did see two football recruits commit.  Well add two more to the list, as the Blaylock Twins – Zack and Daron – just committed to play for Joker and the Cats.  It’s another big get from Georgia (and another commitment from the skills camp,) this time both on the defensive side of the ball.  Zack plays Safety (and lead his high school team in interceptions last year – over a Tennessee commit,) while Daron plays LB, both will find plaing time for the Cats in the coming years.  Most importantly though, both are noted for their physical tackling ability, something the defense has been missing for the past few years – and if they can make that transition into Division 1, they will be a big boost to the Kentucky D.  And to top things off – they were also being recruited by Louisville.  So take that Charlie Strong.

But wait – there’s more.  Think you’re excited about the Blaylock twins because of their proficiency on the football field?  Wait until you hear this.  They’re the sons of Mookie Blaylock, who you may remember from his days playing at Oklahoma.  Or in the NBA for the Nets, Hawks and Warriors.  Still not ringing a bell?  Well then, you’ll be pleased to know you remember the name because it was the original name for the band Pearl Jam – before they had to change it for legal reasons.

Joker’s got his sons.

Congratulations to Joker and the Blaylock twins (and dad) – we look forward to seeing you at Commonwealth.

Three Blaylocks on defense. Let the nicknames roll.

Does Charlie Strong follow Joker around and offer every recruit Joker is interested in? Just about every UK recruit has an offer from Louisville.

At the 2:28 mark I wanted to watch the girl on the right workout. She looked more intresting.
Hope these guys can tackle, we have needed that for years, before we couldn’t catch the other guys, now we can’t tackle them, but we can run with them.
