More Cats In NFL Preseason Games Tonight

Evans will be looking out Conner coming through a gap tonight

Last night, a couple Cats went into action again.  The proving grounds for the NFL continue this Sunday night with two games.  In one game, former Wildcats DeQuin Evans and John Conner will square as the Cincinnati Bengals travel to play the New York Jets.  The games starts at 7pm, but television coverage seems to be sparce and/or nonexistent.  If you really want to watch some preseason football, the San Diego Chargers will kick-off against the Dallas Cowboys at 8pm on NBC.

Evans will be furthering is mission to prove a worthy member for the Bengals regular season squad.  The 6’3 DE notched a couple stats in the first game, and will try to further that trend.  Conner had success as a rookie and we expect that to continue this season as he’s at the top of the depth chart at fullback.  The Terminator was drafted in the 5th round at 139th overall in 2010.  Joker Phillips knew he would have professional success, as he once said this about John:

He does all the things that NFL teams ask their fullbacks to do. He blocks. He catches the ball. And when you need him to make a carry in short yardage, he almost always picks up first downs. He’s going to have a long career in the league.
