It’s not the MSG. His version of the verse doesn’t match any translations I can find. I believe if I was going to tattoo God’s word on my back I would try to get it right. Not to mention it’s a promise specific to the Jews upon their return from Babylonian captivity and has nothing to do with us. But I guess it sounds cool. I do respect his decision to go all-in and get the biggest possible tattoo!

Hey 17…did you really just criticize a kid for a tattoo that may not be the exact biblical translation….seriously…?! C’mon man, most kids his age have tattoos with the foul language or nasty pictures. The kid should be praised…his heart is in the right place.
I went strait to the bible and looked up the verse and it was almost word for word as he has it on his back. Just sayin’
