Mitch McGary thinks he is visiting UK on Sept. 5

According to Scout.com, Mitch McGary plans to take an unofficial visit to Kentucky on September 5th. The only problem is Coach Cal and his staff will still be in Brazil with the Dominican Republic National Team.

Now one of two things could happen here: 1) Mitch could reschedule his visit to Kentucky for a date when the coaches are back on U.S. soil… or… 2) Mitch could still come to Lexington and KSR will send Bryan The Intern to show him around Lexington. The two could tour campus, go to Tolly Ho, and stare at the Craft Center from the parking lot. I vote for BTI – although, rescheduling McGary’s visit is probably best for the 2012 big man and UK.

And it’s completely understandable that McGary got a little confused with his dates; he is probably still dizzy from Wednesday night:

Looks like #17 was guarding Williams, and casually followed him in on his lob run. McGary looks bad in the video, but they weren’t playing zone.

    I hear ya #3… I like ya drew, but…
Lets remember that D. Williams was the #2 pick in the NBA draft and probably would have been #1 if wasn’t for the duke circle jerk over kyrie. Regardless, I would love to get this kid! If Cal can turn Jorts into a NBA player then imagine what he will do with Mitch!!! So please put up a video the kid would like!

Liberal definition of posterizing by the video creator…

McGary laughed about the dunk after the game. Calm down, now.

It’s funny watching KSR suck up to a white baller. Just a few weeks ago I was reading a rap written by some c*** who works at KSR who called white players white boys who can’t jump. Maybe Bryan can show Mitch the post that mocked that U of L player just because he is white. Maybe someone should show him all the posts on this site that ridicules the white players on the other teams (the Duke ones for example).

The worst scenario is that he sees this site and realizes what a bunch of inbred rednecks UK fans are, and even worse, sees what kinds of people work for KSR– ugly, dorky, black boy worshiping homos!

    Good day!

I don’t see how linking this video is helpful to our recruiting efforts of him.

Actually, you are incorrect as Kenny Payne and John Robic are on-campus per coachcal.com. I would know the information before desiminating the wrong kind…:)

This McGary kid has the best motor of any bigman available. He starts the fastbreak, runs the fast break, and can finish on the fast break. He is there for rebounds on both ends. We gotta get McGary….

coaching the DR team does not help recruiting, and actually hinders the coaching staff from focusing on what really matters…UK!!

Its not the advantage Coach K has by getting to coach the US team and spend time with all the top US recruits. If the DR team can beat the arse off UK pros, but cant win a game against mediocre Olympic teams, what benefit does Cal get from it?? (And how bad does it make our “pros” look??)

#16 in regards to the DR team beating the UK pros…how about grasping the concept that a team that has been together for over 2 years and currently practicing is going to be better than a team that has never played together and of which half haven’t played ball at all this summer and are out of shape.. With their talent vs. the pros it shouldn’t have been such a shock. If anyone thought or thinks that the pros should have mopped the floor with the DR they aren’t thinking logically.

As of right now how has coaching this team hurt UK? It hasn’t hindered recruiting but it will help with it in the long run. I mean look they have 3 NBA players currently on the team so the DR has kids that can play….its a matter of making those connections. Having those guys publicly say they love playing for Cal is just what he needs to help him with the top talent in the DR.

Nobody is committing or anything right now anyway. I think the high school seniors are like everyone else, waiting to see what the NBA agreement is going to look like. That will affect recruiting big time. If the current guys have to stay 1 or 2 more years before they go the NBA then we won’t have but a few spots for new players. It’s all a waiting game….let’s wait with them and chill with the idea that Cal is hurting UK by coaching right now cause he isn’t.
