Mark Stoops picked up his 3rd verbal commit of the Class of 2014 this afternoon. Horton joins the Cats as one of the most powerful running backs in the Midwest. Even though the Air Raid is seen as pass-friendly, the Cats will need a big back to get them into the End Zone, rather than settling for Field Goals in the Red Zone. Stoops continues to impress the best of the best in Ohio, with more to come in the future.
Horton is the 3rd Running Back to commit to Stoops and Running Backs Coach Chad Scott, joining JoJo Kemp and Nebraska transfer Braylon Heard.

13 – Snodgrass and Horton are both 4-stars in the Rivals 250 with great offer lists. Hendrix is also a 5.7 3-star from Ohio that is one of the Top 20 inside linebackers in the country. These guys would be great additions regardless of whether or not OSU offered or not.
To that point, UK has a lot to offer as a football program right now. As a recruit, its hard to pass up the opportunity to play for Mark Stoops and Neil Brown.

UK will lose out on a couple kids who decommit every year, but they are also sometimes the benefactos of people who previously commtted elsewhere. As long as you don’t have all your chips in one basket, it should all work out in the end.

I live in West Chester and watched Horton transfer from Lakota East to Lakota West as many players do to neon a better football team. With that said I have not been impressed with him at all inside the 10 yard line. Calling him a power back is stretching it to say the least.
I have an idea, why don’t we all just worry about our own team’s and let the results on the field do the talking. Yes, Louisville has had a good run in football and basketball lately. But Cal and Stoops will be doing great things for Kentucky for many years to come.
