Midway, KY shut down for the day

The entire town of Midway, KY came out to the railroad tracks to wave at Calipari and Kentucky’s new hardware as it rolled through town. They even cancelled school so all the kids could be a part of the festivities.
That’s Kentucky basketball for you.

Hard to explain to people outside the Commonwealth…
Midway has better dining than Lexington. Nice little burg in the middle of the most beautiful piece of countryside on god’s green Earth.
That is awesome. So proud to be from Woodford County.
I agree Eric. I’ve pretty much stopped trying. No point, outsiders will never understand really….

Cal not coming to Northern KY ?
I’m relieved that our fans in the hinterlands of Midway and the surrounding environs were finally able to see Coach Cal. The old timers there can now pass on in peace having finally seen Cal, and the youngsters have a tale for their grandchildren some day.
