Mid-Afternoon Laugh Break

It’s no secret that Jay Pharaoh, SNL comedian, is a favorite of us here at KSR. He came on the radio show last summer and cracked everyone up with his impressions. Last night at the ESPYs, he threw on some Roc-a-wear and assumed the role of Jay-Z, newfound sports agent. Take a break from Tyler’s phenomenal SEC Media Days coverage and check out his short skit. If I just listen without watching the video, it sounds dead-on Jay-Z.

Rupp Arena feat. Jay-Z, anyone?

That is hilarious if you know who Jay- Z is and how he speaks. It looked as if the athletes and other rappers didn’t find it too funny. I thought it was a pretty spot on impression.

Even Jay Pharaoh realizes how not funny it is halfway through.

That was a really good impression of Jay Z, but the bit at the Espys just didn’t make me laugh at all.

I have no idea what Jay Z sounds like, so I don’t know if that’s a good impression or not.

The athletes were too cool to laugh at anything last night. I’d cancel the espys if I were ESPN. The athletes don’t appreciate it and we don’t give an ish.
