It is a beautiful day here in Lexington and with the sun shining bright, fans everywhere can take comfort in the fact that it has been a good couple of days for the Cats.
On the football end, we found out last night that Darrell Stevens, a WR out of Tampa, Florida has committed to Kentucky and will be the 6th WR to join the Cats in the fall. Stevens told our radio show that he was excited to be a part of the Big Blue and that he looked forward to turning the program around. Equally as positive were the comments of Cory Peters, the last of the big recruits for this staff in 2006. Peters mentioned that it was a three-way race between UK, UL and Auburn, but one could tell that UK was leading the list.
On the basketball front, the Cats are preparing for a big game against Iona on Friday. Sources close to the program say that the Cats are brimming with confidence and it has been reported that a couple of the players dont believe that they will lose again once Morris is back. While I think that is certainly a bit of a stretch, things could not be more different than they were at this time last week, and thus Cats fans should be looking forward to a Happy Holiday.
Make sure you check out the new show, including a great interview with Jai Lucas. We will still be posting here on the blog in the next couple of days, but the numbers will be a bit less due to the holidays. Everyone have safe travels and get ready for Iona tomorrow.
