If you’re the type to keep up with all things Kentucky, you might have heard that the school is searching for a new president to continue in Lee Todd’s quest to make the university a top-20 public school by 2020. Outside of some clamoring over whether or not Mitch Barnhart’s new deal would hinder the process, there hasn’t been much news. That changed a bit today when a story was reported in Memphis that UK expressed interest in Shirley Raines for the job, but she said she was not interested. It was not immediately know if this means UK will now turn to a tough-talking Texan, but the precedent is certainly there.
