Melvin Lewis is good to go, Nate Willis watch continues

melvin-lewis

At least one of the JUCOs UK desperately needs this fall is on his way to Lexington. Defensive tackle Melvin Lewis graduated from Fullerton Community College this past weekend, and hopes to be on campus by the end of the week. The Fullerton Hornets tweeted the good news last night: “Former Hornet Melvin Lewis finished his AA degree and is headed to Kentucky on full scholarship this week.”

Lewis’ last class is Wednesday, and he can’t start practicing with UK until his grades process, which he hopes will happen by this weekend. He’s just a little bit eager to join his teammates:

We’re still waiting to hear about talented JUCO cornerback Nate Willis, who should receive word on if he’s good to go at UK today or tomorrow. Cross your fingers, toes, eyes, legs, arms…anything. The Cats NEED him.

2 – Wait, are you saying this year is gonna be a struggle?? BBN had no idea….. You sir, are unbelievably insightful. And to think, we were hoping to compete for the AAC, err, SEC Championship this season. Hopes: crushed.

2 Cant wait til UL loses their first game, thus proving they were not a top 40 team

    2. Yet another skeert ghetto U troll. He knows after this year we’ll start waxing that ass again ala the Krags years. It’s only a matter of time until Stoops proves how overpaid Mushmouth is. He’s already doing it in recruiting. Just wait until he has a couple more recruiting classes under his belt.

The best part is that jerry sprinters check bounced, which lead to him getting caught.

I would be trolling in fear as well. Once I am redshirted this year I will be an NFL prospect for two years at Kentucky and an upgrade from Cobble and Rumph. Look at the makings of this Defensive line in the coming years and you will see Stoops isnt messing around. 6’4″ 320lbs running a 4.9

  15. It's not about THIS season
    11:37 am August 12, 2013 Permalink

Lewis has 3 to play 2 and will redshirt…He’s important b/c he’s Rumph’s replacement and will be in the system a year early (so the 2 week prayer comment is typical UL troll BS).

13 – 8 interior D-lineman, 7 DE’s plus 3 additional newcomers besides Melvin. That’s why he CAN redshirt. Depends on health of the interior.

Let’s be honest, Willis isn’t gonna qualify. Even if he did, however, he wouldn’t make a huge impact and would definitely not be a starter.
