Meet your 2014 NBA All-Star game host…

Oh hey, I know him. So do you. With the 2013-2014 NBA All-Star weekend happening in New Orleans, the Pelicans just announced that Anthony Davis will serve as a spokesperson for the weekend’s festivities, and will be one of three 2014 NBA All-Star Jam Session Ambassadors. In that role, he’ll make appearances in the New Orleans community over the next few months to promote the event, and will be front and center during the weekend itself.

The four-day Jam Session is known as “the premier fan event during NBA All-Star (weekend),” and attracts over 100,000 visitors and fans. On the announcement and the event, Davis said:

“NBA All-Star Jam Session is the most exciting fan event of the year… I’m a big supporter because it’s a great opportunity for our fans and their families to experience the NBA first-hand in the largest NBA playground in the world.”

Tyreke Evans and Austin Rivers will be the other two Ambassadors, but I like to think of them as the Robins to AD’s Batman. I suggest you do the same.

Make us proud, AD.

Thinking of Austin Rivers as Robin is an insult to Robin

Great news. I heard Peyton Siva will host a bar-mitzvah while playing in Israel, thanks to a Craigslist ad.
