Meet the football team’s newest walk-on, Cameron Fogle

From left to right, Conner’s Cameron Fogle, Drew Barker, and Jake Mullderink

The football Cats have a new walk-on: Cameron Fogle, a defensive back and wide receiver from Conner High School in Hebron, Kentucky. Yes, the same Conner High School where talented 2014 QB Drew Barker plays. That’s not a coincidence. Fogle made the announcement via Twitter earlier today:

At 6’0″, 193 lbs, Fogle flew under many school’s radars, but he’s a nice pickup for the Cats regardless of his connection to Barker. Last summer, Fogle turned heads with a blazing fast 4.4 40 in one of Kentucky’s camps and he’s played in an offense similar to what Neal Brown will use at Kentucky. Watch him work in the highlight video below.

Bigger and much faster than Rudy, who knows the young man maybe one of those “hero’s” that Stoops is looking for. Good luck Cameron. GBB!!!

I think he’s smart for considering 5 years. Get on campus redshirt a year and bust your tail off for playing time. Great speed!

My favorite part, 2:07 mark. Look who’s running down field when Fogle cut back. That’s #7 QB Barker. I like that kid.

Why didn’t he have any scholarship offers? You can’t teach/coach speed. 4.40

Hard to judge talent against Kentucky high schools, but 4.4 is 4.4 in any state.

I was wondering who #22 was in the Barker highlites. I noticed he caught several balls and there weren’t many who could catch him afterwards. I think he gets a scholly before all is said and done.

6 ft 193 lbs with a 4.4 40…why did he not have a ton of offers? I’d love to see this guy turn out to be a Dicky Lyons type of player for us

Welcome aboard, Cam. You’re a steal as a walk-on and we’re happy as hell to have you. Come in, bust your tail, and you’ll earn a scholarship by the time you’re a junior.

They should bundle Fogle and Barker. They’re a heck of a winning combination.

Fogle & Barker sounds like an injury lawfirm.

This kid is fast and has decent size. I’d imagine he’ll be one walk-on that sees the field quite a bit down the road. Welcome! I had 3 fraternity brothers in college from Connor and they were all 3 great guys.

I have been talking this kid up all year he is tough as nails and quick as lighting he will remind you of Dicky Lyons Jr. and Derek Abney. Huge land for the CATS and I would say he will earn a scholly by his second year. I can see it now Barker to Fogle….TOUCHDOWN KENTUCKY!! Just like the HS days. GO CATS!!!

Did anyone else notice who he was making the open field tackle on at the 8:10 mark… is that Ryan Timmons?

#28 Yes that’s Ryan Timmons. There are a lot of plays in that series from Franklin County. It will be fun to watch Timmons and Fogle on the field at the same time. #BBN is everywhere!

#26 Dick….bashing a kid with a 20 on the ACT? Really?? I guess you picked the right name for this forum.
