Meet James Young

John Calipari has had quite the busy morning thus far, showing some interest to Ricky Ledo, DaJuan Coleman, Archie Goodwin, Brandon Ashely and Nerlens Noel.  One new name, however, showed a little interest back.  According to Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports, 2013 small forward James Young is interested in Kentucky, as well as Ohio State and Michigan State.  He told Borzello this today at the Peach Jam event in South Carolina.

The Michigan native rates as a four-star player and a top-35 prospect in the class of 2013.  He measures in at 6’6″ and, according to his ESPN profile, is an extremely explosive athlete.  I just think he looks like Ryan Harrow.

Do work, James Young!

A long, lanky, and smooth left hander that wears #21….could it be another Tayshaun? I’d like to see him in blue and maybe even pulling up for a 3 from the UK logo….or dunking on UT.

Good looking young athlete. Got some ball handling skills too, and it looked like he had a pretty quick catch and shoot jumper. I kinda had the Tayshaun comparison too when I saw him. He seems to be a little quicker though, and a little shorter. Definetly one to keep an eye on.

I second the KUDOS from TT as well. KSR does an outstanding job on recruiting news.

Gets his shot off 10 times quicker than Prince did.Looks as though he has a good handle also. Moved well without the ball in this clip and made some really crisp cuts to get open. I’d like to see some more of him but he looks to be the real deal here.
