Marshall Henderson suspended indefinitely

3v4u1k

Here’s some news that won’t surprise you: Ole Miss star Marshall Henderson has been suspended indefinitely for a “violation of team rules.”

Too much fun on #WhiteGirlWednesday?

UPDATE: Sources tell CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish the suspension is related to a failed drug test.

I can pretty much guarantee that “indefinitely” will end up meaning “for the exhibition games Ole Miss plays”. Either way they’re no threat to the Cats next season anyway

This will last all of 5 minutes. Henderson is the only reason Andy Kennedy still has a job.

At most he will miss two games. Just like Wilbekien at Florida. Spelling, oh who cares he’s not any good anyway.

The Guy(as hated as he is)is very entertaining and good for sec basketball. Hopefully he can make amends and get back on the team

This just weakens the already weak SEC in basketball. Looks like another 3 team SEC representation in the Big Dance…. Just a pitiful basketball league…

As long as we keep hanging banners it doesn’t matter lol

14 – I agree, to a point…but I’d still rather see a meaningful conference schedule that keeps fans interested after the non-conference MSU, NC, UL, etc. Too many cupcakes gets pretty old.

No, he’s not good. I could jack up 30 shots a game and score at least 12 points.

    12) I agree with 14). Don’t you want good conference games? Isnt that UKs gripe with ULs football schedule???? What’s more pitiful, the new AAC conference, which is a joke, will put more teams in the NCAA tourney than the SEC…. you can write that down.

PJ Hairston, in the meantime, is probably high and shooting at bottles with a handgun while driving a new car.

But man, the SEC is taking some hits. Walker, Henderson…

17 – I know, right? I’m beginning to doubt my faith in the purity of the game. How could I have been so naive? If this can happen to a guy like Marshall Henderson, can anyone be safe?

(sigh) Life was so much simpler before today.

He will be reinstated by the time practice rolls around. Being suspended this time of the year really means nothing.

    @19
I mean yeah that would be nice, I’d like the SEC to have 5-6 teams yearly who could make the Big Dance, but as long as we keep hanging banners that’s all I’m concerned with.
Griping about a week football schedule vs a basketball schedule are two totally different things though. A weak fball schedule can land you in big games automatically (BCS bowl or Championship game), a week bball schedule can get you a high seed, but you still have to win 6 games to hang a banner which everyone knows isn’t a easy task.
Also, aside from UofL & Memphis, who else will the AAC put in the tourney? I guarantee the SEC puts UK, UF, UT, Ole Miss (if Henderson lays off the coke), LSU, & maybe Mizzo.

#16, only good shooters could average 12 pnts. Not you. He averaged over 20 pnts. While shooting 40%, misting contested. I doubt you could get it off. You probably shoot from the hip. He is crazy though. He can’t be good cause he’s white, right?

In the10 team AAC – UL, Memphis, UCONN, and Cincy are LOCKS. LSU?????? Missouri????? Put the OxyContin down son…. Three teams from a 14 team SEC AS USUAL….. just pitiful…

  32. Louisville1Cal4
    6:44 pm July 10, 2013 Permalink

I would hardly call Cincy a lock.
Mizzo is a perennial Tournament team. LSU brings back most of their team & brings in an amazing recruiting class to go along with it. At times they were a possibility for an At Large Bid last season, they have the talent to do it this season. Johnny Jones is putting in work at LSU.
Oh yes, 3 teams for the SEC is the usual lmao We always put 4 if not more teams in, last season the SEC was just down, it happens.
