Marquis Estill joins Calipari’s staff

Former Kentucky forward/center Marquis Estill is back with the team as a graduate assistant while he finishes his degree. The pride of Madison Central fell just short of 1,000 points during his career and now he’s back to chase a banner as a member of the UK staff.

Welcome home, Marquis.

Loved Marquis’ game paired with Erik Daniels. Hated that he couldn’t convert it to the NBA. Really excited to see him involved with the current team, and happy for the opportunity for him. Cal gets it right once again.

Also being a Madison Central grad,I watched ‘Quis play all through high school and he was always my favorite player at UK. Glad to see him back.

A victim of Tubby, it was his Jr’s season that I knew Tubby didn’t have it, Quis would dominate the first half and Tubs would forget about him.

Awesome! Welcome home, ‘Quis! He was always a good guy while on campus and fun to root for. His wife is also a KY girl so I’m sure she’s glad to be home.

Hopefully Marquis will be able to learn from Kenny Payne, Coach O, and obviously CAL and maybe contribute when those guys get new head coaching jobs. It’s just a matter of time and who better to plug into the mix than one of our own. Go Quis!
