Mark Pope Is Ready For His BYU Challenge

He already holds a special spot in UK lore for possessing what might be the best flat-top in the history of the program (it’s at least in the conversation) and now former Cat Mark Pope is looking to help BYU continue their stay in the national forefront in the post-Jimmer era.  In an interview with the Daily Herald in Utah, Pope says he “begged” for a post on Dave Rose’s staff and, as a Mormon, he’s excited about being a part of BYU.  He said that he’s spoken with Brandon Davis, who could return to the Cougar roster after being suspended last season, and that he hopes the hard-working mentality he had as a self-professed “bad player” rubs off on the team.

As long as he doesn’t try to play Jimmer in HORSE, he should be able to do some good things.
