Marcus Caffey is ineligible for the season

Bad news right out of the gate at UK football media day: cornerback Marcus Caffey is ineligible for 2012 season. Caffey will still practice with the team and Martavius Neloms will move back to cornerback to cover the position. Joker refused to linger on the subject, simply stating “I don’t want to answer any questions about the Marcus Caffey deal. We move on. That’s the reality now.”

Check out Ally Tucker’s live thread of Joker’s press conference for more breaking news.

This team can’t afford to lose very many, if any, starters. This blows!

Living down here in the Atlanta area I would expect nothing less from someone who came out of Grady H.S. down here. I still hate those S.O.B.’s from my high school playing days. Given he’s one of us now your right this is not good news.

College really isn’t that hard. Why don’t players ever learn from the mistakes of others?

He is still very young. Marcus Caffey will be back one day and he will be a great UK football player before it is said and done! Get your head up Marcus and put it in the books!
