Phillip Marshall of auburn.247sports.com is reporting that Gus Malzahn will become the next head football coach at Auburn University.
Malzahn returns to Auburn after leaving to become head coach at Arkansas State this past year. He went 9-3 in Jonesboro and won the Sun Belt. His ASU team is slated to play in the GoDaddy.com bowl.

I said months ago UK should hire Gus. Not saying he would’ve wanted the job here, but nobody else was bringing this guy’s name up in the coaching search. Now, Auburn has him and he is going to be a great hire. I don’t know how many threads on ksr I posted that Gus would be a good hire for Kentucky, but the fact that Auburn got him proves I was right about this guy…even if nobody responded to those posts. I think we got a good one in Stoops. Just saying that Gus’ name should’ve been brought up by someone other than me in UK’s coaching search. Obviously, the team that won the BCS two years ago thinks he’s good.

I did watch it. After viewing it, she is still the wife of the guy who coached an offense that won the national championship.
