Lunardi puts Cats as a #4, in with Louisville

It’s Monday and that means Bracketology. In his latest efforts on predicting the field of 64 68, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi puts Kentucky as a four-seed and has them set to square off with the Stansbury of the East, Harvard. And though the Cats’ bracket also features Big East powerhouse Louisville, it doesn’t look to be the worst draw in the world. In fact, I like it. Full Bracketology here.
Here is where he placed UK’s other opponents:
2 – UConn
4 – Washington
4 – Notre Dame
5 – Florida
6 – Vanderbilt
7 – North Carolina
9 – Georgia
9 – Tennessee

Looks like a nice road to the final four
And here we go again!!!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6054089
I can’t believe Stansbury didn’t want Jesse Spano, but they were going to give AC Slater a car. That program seems dirty.
If G’town was in another league, based upon their record and who they’ve plays, they wouldn’t even make the tourney…
“it doesn’t look to be the worst draw in the world”
Huh? Pittsburgh is a legit 1 seed, Texas can beat anyone in the country anywhere. GTown would be a very dangerous 7 seed, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see an Illinois/Baylor/ODU knock out the Cats in the second round. Could be worse, and of course its all hypothetical, but I would think thats a terrible draw.
5- Illinois will surely outnumber us in the “tall goofy white guy” category.
5) Completely agree with you. I want know part of Pitt. McGhee will eat Jorts for lunch. Texas is not the Texas of last year. You come from behind and beat Kansas at the Phog you’re doing something right. But the good thing is, this means absolutely nothing… GO CATS!
It seems so ridiculous to me to debate whether this is a good draw or not. I do like knowing if the tournament started today where we would likely fall, but to determine matchups and such is pointless being that there is little to no chance it will end up this way.
With that said, bring on Harvard.
Guys, you do realize we are not Duke. In order for us to when the tournament we will encounter and have to beat some good teams.
These predictions are so useless and a waste of time. How long until March again????
I meant win
Who cares???…. These seedings and regional placements change with the wind. Let’s care about seedings come March 13, people.
10. Exactly my point. Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this.
It’s meant for discussion. If it isn’t your thing, then move along.
Reality.this is one mans opinion on how he would draw up a bracket at this time, which really does’nt mean squat.
Two weeks ago we were one seed now we are a four. We are dropping like a rock.
Someone gets paid to come up with mock brackets? What a gig!
I believe they actually said we were a 2 seed capable of being a 1 BG.
This draw sucks! Pitt and Texas are the two teams I don’t want to be matched up with. We’ll get smoked. JS
Will BTI be cheering for Harvard, since he picked them in that contest?
anyone else see that the big east has 11 teams getting in and the next highest is big 12 with 6 lol yea i get that its “tougher” but damn 7 of the 16 teams have 7 loses or more.
Big Least powerhouse loserville. That’s one of the funniest things I’ve heard all day……….
