According to Ashely Lowery’s family spokesperson, Doug Stutsman, test results have shown that the junior safety’s injuries show no significant head or brain damage. Stutsman told the Courier-Journal: “The extent of his neck injury is still unknown, but he has no significant head or brain damage.”
Lowery is currently in stable condition in the intensive-care unit. His reported injuries include the neck injury, injuries to his left wrist and left hip, and a gash in his right leg.
While his injuries are still very serious, there seems to be room for cautious optimism concerning Lowery’s recovery. The lack of brain injuries is especially lucky. We wish Ashely the best.
