Loserville?

h/t to the always great UK grad Kenny Bloggins.

We’ve all used the term before, but did you know the LEO (Louisville Eccentric Observor, the city’s alt-weekly) has an annual ‘Loserville’ issue? Good times, good times.

I’ll be the first to say I love the city, but I found this pick for the cover to be interestingly awesome. Apart from all the political fight stuff that can be brought up regarding the ol’ Papa raising his pizza prices because his mansion isn’t big enough or something (aw, here it goes), but I find John Schnatter to be a very interesting person for BBN. First, Cat fans probably were a little anti-Papa John because of his ties to UofL with the stadium and all. But once Calipari came to town, we saw the UK relationship bud pretty strong. And now we’ve got those pretty blue pizza boxes for morning-after breakfast.

Oh, and it’s funny because it says Loserville.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this picture. Back to finals studying for me, kids. We all know the Cats and Cal were the biggest winners of 2012, but who do you think the biggest losers of 2012 were?

John should know you don’t mix politics with business. He just drew a big fat line down the middle of his customer base. And his numbers just took a huge hit. Right or wrong isn’t the issue. It was a dumb move, and that’s the issue.

It will only be loserville after they get ripped by Florida and boise state( next season). Hope Strong enjoys the blue turf and Idaho weather, before joining an actual conference(a bad conference but a real one).

It’s not the function of a business to provide health care, but to turn a profit. A store doing 1000 pizzas per week incurs about a 7000 per year cost, at 14 cents per pizza. Ask Mmatt how many employees he can have if he has to provide health insurance for them.

LEO was started by John Yarmuth a partisan hack of epic dimensions. John Schnatter should be hailed as a hero to all interested in creating a huge corporation from literally nothing. Obamacare is a tax and he stated he would be passing that tax onto his customers as every other business will do. This country is full of uninformed people who think everything is free. It is not.

Its the LEO. Its ran by a bunch of hardcore hippie liberals. Its titled “loserville” because the guy has millions and millions of dollars, and does not want to take a hit to his bank book because of the Obamacare taxes that go info affect Jan 1, so he is cutting back ours. I stopped reading this filth years ago.

    5) that makes no sense. Why would bobby p have his team take a knee after getting ripped by the air raid and shut down by stoops D. However, bobby p does like to quit an awful lot(Louisville found out first hand, considering he is in his 5th year of the 10 yr deal he signed)

I boycott papa j simply because Rick P is a partner in about 30 of them, some of which I believe are in Lex. I find it interesting Cal endorses them although his UK contract may require it.

For those of us lucky enough to have health insurance should not even talk about how 14 cents is being a GD burden on us. Imagine working at Papa John’s and accidently breaking your leg. You have to go to the Doctor and then to rehabilitation. You are then burdened with a total of around $8,000 in medical bills. But at Papa Johns you make $7 an hour and you dont have the luxury of health insurance. You are just screwed. AND CONSRVATIVES THINK 14 CENTS IS A BURDEN! Hopefully hard times fall on those that are heartless so that they are humbled when they are in someone else’s shoe’s. Good thing President Obama does not G.A.F. what mouthy conservatives think.

While Iagreewith #3 in re Busines objectives, I am willing to pay 0.14 cents per Pappa John pizza.

If I typially order 2 or even 3 pies, that’s still less than fifty cents on my order.

Better ingredients, better fourteen cent more pizza.

    2. You are correct u don’t mix business and politics. However you should always mix business and truth. The truth in liberal ideals is as empty as our national coffers. I am sure you would rather john package his plan up in a neat little lie( see Oboma 2008 def reduction plan) and present it in a unoffensive perfumed bouquet with half of Hollywood singing backup and the media taking over the chorus. As for me and the majority of Ky we prefer the truth even if it does sting. It is obvious those offended by the pappa have never ran a business (

    #13 is right.

I have been @ my job 20+ years.

I was in college once too.

Grew up some but have never forgotten what it is like to be unemployed and uninsured.

14 cents is nothing. Pay it, happily.

We need to take care of our brethren.

Always been that way; always will be.

I guess since they are 0 for 6, you know what they say “even a blind squirrel can find a nut….”

Yea, that’s what we need more government oversight……NOT

I wish you all would stop with the partisian talk. #13 you had Clinton as POTUs for 8 years and he didn’t get healthcare. I’m unemployed due to Obamas war on coal and I have 2 kids and not a drop of insurance given that it is 1500 a month I can’t afford it so agree with you we need healthcare, it’s just to high to afford.but for all this liberal and conservative talk is the whole damn problem. Neither side cares about you and your crazy if you think they do. If your a Democrate or republican shouldn’t matter. When you go to vote and all you see is the party and not the man you are letting someone else tell you how to vote.
#20 I voted for Romney but if you are American Obama is your president. I wish our elected officials could act like men and start doing things to improve our country instead of worrying about what their part wants.

#25 Honestly, where are you hearing that Obamacare is free? That is false. Unless the Supreme Court strikes down the Mandate, uninsured folks will have to BUY Obamacare. IT’S NOT FREE. It cost taxpayers more if the un-insured go to the ER to get non-emergency care. If we get folks paying in through means such as the mandate, then the taxpayer actually saves money.

#22 The USPS, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not US Government Agencies.
Mac and Mae were put under Government conservatorship in under to prevent their total collapse in 2008.
It should be said that it was people like you that obtained loans that they knew they could never afford that caused the mortgage industry problems to begin with.

In the state of Kentucky we have 1 politician who really cares about his people. That’s Hal Rodgers he is listed as a republican but is more a independent then any thing else. At least he will cross party lines if it benefited his people. He routinely get as many if not more dem. votes as he does rep. Aside from him the rest of our politicians care only about their selves and the people suffer as a result. I don’t feel strong enuff about either side to comment for any of them
#32 you should know what your talking about before you speak. I was working when Obama care passed and was dead set against it now that I’m laid off and can’t get insurance or go to the DR. So where does the “free stuff” end? Health insurance, federal housing, cell phones, food stamps, etc…. What’s next? Free child care, an electric car to those who can’t afford one, free college education, free paid vacations to the beach, a boat because it’s not fair that my neighbor has one and I don’t. For those who think this ends with health insurance, you are mistaken. Unfortunately this is the new slavery of America. Instead of empowering people to take charge of their lives, liberals keep them stuck in the never ending cycle of free handouts. It’s human nature that if you’re given something, you appreciate it much less than if you work for it and why work for it if you’re going to get it for free anyway? I thought like a liberal in my high school and college days but like a lot of people, I grew up and became an adult. I learned to take responsibility for my actions and “lot” in life. We live in the land of opportunity (at least for now) and if you don’t like your life, then work to change it.

Papa is one of the worst people women could ever meat. Two women that met he and Pitino both in Ashland swear he traps them in the corner, tries to convince them to get on a plane, and always makes a joke about what the papa can do. They hate his $100 tips and grabass. He, along with McConnell will make Kentucky a Democratic state again. He is taking jobs from Kentucky, not creating them. He loves young women that can’t complain.

He asked for the road names to not be changed but the people wanted it done. He hasn’t built any 4 lanes. Obama has I’m not for Obama but the road project was need. As far as education. He has oversaw new schools,Rodgers asked for money from the coal severance which is a shame we have to ask for.
