Did everyone else have an amendment to vote for related to hunting/fishing on their ballots?!? Sounds like a great topic for the flag-bearers of Dept. of Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.
It was very strange. It was like, “Do you believe there should be an amendment added to the KY constitution that says everyone has the right to hunt and fish.” Is that a work around to felons owning guns? I didn’t understand what they were trying to accomplish. Who (other than felons) isn’t allowed to hunt/fish?

However, that does not speak to its current state that includes massive debt, a failing education system, interventionist policy that has us in multiple wars/military operations around the globe at almost all times, and dwindling civil liberties.

Rixter — Division-I college basketball is big-time competition. Bellarmine’s coach doesn’t care because he wants his team to be exposed to that level of play. It will do nothing but help as they will see no competition like that all season. Also, if Kentucky just quits playing hard then that would be pointless for Matthew Mitchell’s squad. If you’re going to quit playing hard because you got a big lead by halftime then why even play the second half? College coaches aren’t in the business of wasting time — especially game time when you’re preparing for big games like the UK Hoops team has coming up.

There is no doubt in my mind that the first step in fixing our broken political system is to eliminate parties. Then, every man / woman runs on their own ideas, their own merits. The have no allegiance to a party, who is telling them how to vote on every issue.
Another thing that needs to be done to stop an incumbent president from spending 1/4th of his term campaigning for another term… make the presidential term 6 years, one term limit.
A friend of mine was the starting QB for Ole Miss under Tuberville and said that he didn’t care for him at all and the players thought he was awful. Just an FYI. But he has a good record as a head coach.

Petrino’s sins are not so bad that they can not be forgiven. If he is remorseful, then I don’t understand ignoring him and his abilities. Hiring a football coach at UK is a major business move. We are not hiring a preacher.
Here’s the thing with football, high school kids might recognize 15 names. If we can’t get one of those 15 (we really only have a shot at the Ryan and Gruden brothers) then give it to Cal. They will recognize him.
The SEC East is probably the weakest it has been in a decade at least. If we hire a good coach, I think we have a shot at some success. Only good teams are UGA and UF. We always play UGA well and UF only goes as far as their D takes them.

No matter how many names fans throw out there, the coaching search is going to come down to three names. Sonny Dykes, Kirby Smart, and Mark Helfrich.
Mitch may swing at the fences on a few names like Rex Ryan or even Herm Edwards (who I’ve got to admit I didn’t think about but I agree he would do an unbelievable job) but in the end its going to come down to those first three.
I would be shocked if it wasn’t one of them. Mitch knows how big this is and he’s going to throw some serious money out there. If I had to guess I’d say Sonny Dykes is the next coach at UK with Neal Brown as his OC and probably a solid DC/recruiter to go along with it.

Did Petrino or Saban have success in the NFL? Hell even Carroll is struggling to some degree (he has a losing record) and I’m pretty sure he did ok at the college level. College and pro are two completely different animals.

Helfrich has seen how Kelly has done it at Oregon so he knows what it takes and he’s an offensive genius. If we can get him we will get him. Same with Kirby Smart. Those guys are just too hot of commodities to pass up.
