After the draft, KSR NBA Draft correspondent Ramel Bradley had a few more thoughts. Here is how he sees the Draft having played out for the UK guys:

The city streets were popping last night and the Kentucky name was buzzing everywhere. Players from all around the league where in town last and everyone was talking it up.

The Kings are going to be crazy out West next year. Let it be said and well understood, DeMarcus should never have slipped to #5. A couple solid players went ahead of him, but what these teams and analysts keep over looking is the fact that Cousins will be one of the most dominant big men in the league, with a Shaq type comparison. It’s a great fit for Sacramento and those Coach Cal boys Tyreke and DeMarcus are going to be shutting it down next year.

It seemed like yesterday that Pat was coming into Kentucky as a freshmen and now he’s headed off to the league. He has a great family and it was great seeming his name called last night. Houston will be a great team for him!!

Orton has the experience playing behind legendary Big Men and he will continue this into Orlando. Dwight Howard and Orton are going to be some big time battlers down low for the Magic. Nice combo!

John Wall is just as good or better than the hype surrounding him. I’m hearing Washington’s organization is loving this fit and it seems to be a very long term commitment to keep him with the Wiz. So book your trips to the Capital to check out the John Wall dance again this upcoming year.

It’s been said many times and a lot of people are well aware that if Wall wasn’t on this past team with Eric, then Eric would’ve been closer up in the top 5. So Baron Davis and the guards in LA better tighten up their shoe strings.

Also, much LOVE to the Crawford Family! When I was talking to Joe last night, he was going wild for his brother Jordan! That family deserves the best and I wish them much success in the future!

It’s over and can now be said …Kentucky is and always will be the trend setter in College Basketball. We have the Greatest Tradition and last night just adds to the legacy. Coach Cal is on point and as these players shuffle out it’s very possible we could be seeing something very similar in the Draft again next year.

BROOKLYN is back in the building again next year and I’m ready to see DORON LAMB lock it down in Rupp!!! For all the young guys and high school players out there, let last night be proof that dreams do come true. And with the new guys coming into the program it’s going to be a wild ride again this season like it was this past year!!

I’m getting ready to jump on a flight from NYC back to Lex-Town …so holla at ya boy!!
