Lexington Native Now ‘Fastest Man In The World’

That’s how that works, isn’t it?  Usain Bolt, who had not lost a race in two years, was beaten by Lexington native Tyson Gay in the 100m this weekend.  The world record is still held by Bolt, but the 100m generally determines the unofficial title of ‘fastest man in the world,’ and with Gay beating Bolt, he can at least use that to talk some trash at their next race.

Bolt took a page out of Shaq’s book and ‘admittedly wasn’t in the best of shape.’  His world record is set at 9.58, while Gay won the race with a 9.84 and Bolt finished in 9.97.
